How much does the 2026 Lexus NX cost?

There are 236 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns an 7/10 expert rating, and it is aimed at you if you want a compact luxury crossover with daring styling, a wide range of powertrains, and the reassurance of the Lexus badge.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

That said, the NX is not without trade-offs: the ride quality is poor, and the design may be polarising. It also does not always feel like a true luxury vehicle, even though it offers good value in hybrid form.

With 28.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus NX is presented as a model that leans on Lexus’s reputation for dependability, and its hybrid models add to that appeal if you want efficiency and long-term confidence.

Its powertrain range is a strength, and the hybrid versions are especially compelling if you want lower running costs without giving up the premium badge. The standard advanced safety equipment also supports everyday peace of mind.

The NX’s fuel-saving hybrid setup and Lexus warranty coverage help reduce ownership anxiety, but the used-buyer risk is that you still need to choose carefully because the non-hybrid version is less impressive and the ride quality can be a drawback over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus NX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX lineup includes base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F Sport 3 packages across the non-hybrid, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, while the NX 450h+ is not available in base or Luxury configuration. The base NX 350 does not quite deliver the luxury feel some shoppers expect, while higher-end versions add leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable steering column.
• Powertrain: You can choose among the NX 350, NX 350h hybrid, and NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid. The NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, while the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are the more compelling choices if you want better efficiency and stronger overall value.
• Safety package: The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also tied to the electronic door handles, and some extra driver-assist features are available on higher trims.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard on the base NX, while a 14-inch display comes with any package. You also get wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and six USB ports, with wireless device charging standard on any package.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-hybrid NX 350 is rated at 9.8 L/100 km combined, while the NX 350h is rated at 6.0 L/100 km combined and the NX 450h+ is rated at 6.6 L/100 km combined in hybrid mode.

Which 2026 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus NX is offered in 6 trim levels: base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F Sport 3.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it is also the trim most likely to leave you wanting more luxury feel and equipment. It makes sense only if you are focused on getting into the NX at the lowest possible price.
• Luxury: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of comfort and equipment without jumping too far up the price ladder. It is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds meaningful upscale content without going all the way to the top end.
• F Sport 2: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance and chassis tuning cues, including adaptive dampers and black 20-inch wheels, along with the more aggressive exterior treatment.
• Ultra Luxury: This is for you if you want the most upscale feel and are willing to pay for it. It is aimed at shoppers who care more about premium ambience than value.
• Executive: This is the strongest pick if you want a more convincing luxury experience, since it adds leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable steering column.
• F Sport 3: This is the most aggressive-looking version, but the content suggests it is not the best choice if ride comfort matters to you.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite is included, and the NX also offers additional driver-assist features on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 236 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,789 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $59,789 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,249 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the NX is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you are planning to sell later, you should expect the market to reward well-equipped hybrid versions more than the less compelling non-hybrid model.

For a future seller, the current trend is a reminder that pricing discipline matters. If you buy at the right number now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should be better positioned when it is time to trade or sell.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX safe?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns a 2025 Top Safety Pick from the IIHS, and it receives top “Good” scores in all other crash tests and evaluations except for an “Acceptable” result in the updated moderate overlap front crash test.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also built into the electronic door handles.

Higher trims can add park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and a 360-degree camera system. The main caveat is that the NX missed the highest IIHS award because of that lower moderate overlap front crash result.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.95% compared with last year.
• The 2026 model year appeals to you because Lexus made the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions more affordable while keeping the NX’s core strengths intact.

The bottom line: If you want the NX’s hybrid value story and current pricing softness, the 2026 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive and can live with an older model year, you may find better value by shopping earlier examples, but the 2026 is the cleaner choice if you want the latest lineup changes.
