How much does the 2026 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 6.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 196 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns an expert rating of 7.00/10.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

It fits best if you want a compact luxury crossover with a wide range of powertrains, standard advanced safety features, and a distinctive look. The trade-offs are that the design may be polarising and the ride quality is poor, so it is less convincing if you want a truly polished luxury feel. Even so, the lineup’s fuel-efficient hybrid models make it especially appealing if efficiency matters to you. Only 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than deeply discounted.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus NX is presented as a model that leans on the reassurance of the Lexus badge, and its standard advanced safety features add to that sense of confidence.

Its powertrain range is broad, which can be a plus for long-term ownership because you can choose the version that best matches your driving needs. The hybrid and plug-in hybrid models also bring stronger efficiency, which can help reduce day-to-day running costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the NX’s premium positioning does not fully translate into a true luxury feel, so you should make sure the specific trim and equipment level justify the price you are paying.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus NX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX lineup spans base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive, and F Sport 3 packages across the NX 350, NX 350h, and NX 450h+ range, with the NX 450h+ not offered in base or Luxury form. The base NX 350 is the least expensive entry point, but it does not deliver the same upscale feel as higher packages. The Executive package adds leather upholstery, while heated and ventilated front seats and a power-adjustable steering column are standard.
• Powertrain: You can choose a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder in the NX 350, a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre hybrid setup in the NX 350h, or a plug-in hybrid system in the NX 450h+. The NX 350 is the least compelling dynamically, while the hybrid models are the stronger fit if you want better efficiency.
• Safety package: The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also tied to the electronic door handles. Other available features include park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and a 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard on the base NX, while a 14-inch display comes with any package. All models include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, six USB ports, and wireless device charging. A head-up display and 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system are reserved for higher-priced packages.
• Fuel efficiency: The NX 350 is rated at 9.8 L/100 km combined, while the NX 350h is rated at 6.0 L/100 km combined and the NX 450h+ is rated at 6.6 L/100 km combined in hybrid mode. The NX 350h is the efficiency sweet spot if you want the best balance of running costs and everyday usability.

Which 2026 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus NX is offered in 6 trim levels: NX 350, NX 350h, NX 450h+, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive, and F Sport 3.

Here's the short version:

• NX 350: This is the entry point, but it is the least convincing choice if you want the NX to feel properly premium. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the base experience.
• NX 350h: This is the best-value choice for most buyers because it combines the NX’s strongest efficiency story with the broader appeal of the hybrid powertrain. If you want the model’s core strengths without stretching too far up the price ladder, this is the one to target.
• NX 450h+: Choose this if you want the plug-in hybrid setup and the strongest electrified capability in the lineup. It is the most specialised option and suits buyers who can make use of charging and want the highest-output hybrid model.
• Luxury: This is the first step up if you want a more upscale feel without jumping straight to the sportier or top-end packages.
• F Sport 2: Pick this if you want the sportier appearance and chassis tuning elements, including adaptive dampers and black 20-inch wheels.
• Ultra Luxury: This is for buyers who want the most upscale presentation and are willing to pay for it.
• Executive: This is the trim to focus on if you want a stronger luxury feel, since it adds leather upholstery and pairs well with the NX’s standard comfort equipment.
• F Sport 3: This is the most aggressive-looking version, but the content suggests it is not the best choice if ride comfort matters to you.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite is a strong selling point across the lineup, so you do not need to move up trims just to get a solid safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Lexus NX?

The current market looks moderate and selective, so you have some room to shop, but the best listings may still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 196 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,472 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $61,163 CAD sits slightly below last year's $65,755 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the NX is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you are planning to sell later, you should expect the market to reward well-equipped, desirable versions more than the base model. The hybrid variants should also hold up better with shoppers who value efficiency and lower running costs.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX safe?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns a 2025 Top Safety Pick from the IIHS, with an Acceptable score in the updated moderate overlap front crash test and Good scores in all other crash tests and evaluations.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also built into the electronic door handles.

A 360-degree camera system is available, along with park assist, front cross-traffic alert, and lane-change assist. The NX’s outward visibility is compromised, so the camera system is especially useful.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.98% compared with last year.
• The 2026 update matters to you because Lexus made the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions more affordable, while keeping the NX’s strong safety and efficiency story intact.

The bottom line: The 2026 NX makes the most sense if you want the current lineup with improved hybrid value and you are shopping for a compact luxury crossover that prioritises efficiency and safety. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2026 is the better pick if you want the updated pricing structure and can find a well-priced hybrid.
