How much does the 2026 Kia Seltos cost?

Is the 2026 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2026 Kia Seltos stands out as a subcompact crossover that aims to deliver more than its size suggests. Kia positioned it to bridge the gap between the Soul and the Sportage, and the result is a small SUV with a larger footprint and a more rugged personality than many rivals.

What makes the Seltos appealing is the way it balances practicality and polish. It is noted for a high-quality cabin, refined driving dynamics, and generous passenger and cargo space for its compact dimensions. The model also has a reputation for intuitive controls and practical packaging.

For shoppers who want a small crossover that feels thoughtfully executed rather than merely basic, the Seltos fits that brief well. 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market choice.

Is the 2026 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2026 Kia Seltos is described as a well-rounded small crossover with a high-quality cabin, refined driving dynamics, and practical packaging. It also has intuitive controls and a nicely refined chassis, which supports its appeal as an everyday used vehicle.

At the same time, the buying guide calls out a noisy cabin, a clunky dual-clutch transmission, and a base engine that feels underpowered. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about living with those compromises than expecting a trouble-free experience in every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some confidence if you know what price and condition you want.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 438 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.30% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,811 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $30,811 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,376 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Seltos has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the current market level also means your future resale value will depend heavily on trim, condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is maintained.

Because the average price is still within the model's year-round range, a clean example bought well should remain easier to position competitively when it's time to trade or sell.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.30% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2026 Kia Seltos makes sense if you want a well-rounded small crossover and you can take advantage of the softer pricing in today's market. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2026 is the better path if you want the current-year balance of value and availability.
