New & Used 2026 Ford F-150 for Sale near Thornhill, ON

Is the 2026 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Ford F-150 earns 4.5/5 from owners and 6.7/10 from CarGurus experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The F-150’s appeal is its sheer breadth of choice: you can configure it across eight trims, three beds, three cabs, and six powertrains, which makes it one of the most versatile full-size trucks on the market. The test-drive notes also call out handsome design, easy tech and analogue controls, and strong turbocharged and supercharged engines.

The trade-offs are clear, though. Lower-priced versions can feel sparse, and the naturally aspirated V8 is described as lazy. For shoppers cross-shopping premium trims, it is also not as luxurious as Ram or GMC at higher prices.

With 35.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The F-150 is presented as a broad, well-established full-size truck with a wide range of configurations, which usually helps you find a version that fits your needs without overbuying. The expert notes also point to strong turbocharged and supercharged engines, and the truck’s overall competitiveness across its many configurations suggests solid day-to-day dependability.

Ford’s powertrain warranty and lack of scheduled maintenance are described as average for the class. That means long-term ownership risk is mostly about choosing the right configuration and avoiding a poorly equipped or heavily used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Ford F-150?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims can feel sparse, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience. The cabin design is strong, but material quality still trails the best Ram and GMC alternatives at the top end.
• Powertrain: The 2.7-litre turbo V6 is the base engine, the 5.0-litre V8 is available on several trims, and the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 is the best all-rounder. The V8 is described as lazy, while the turbo V6s are the strength of the lineup.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward automatic emergency braking with intersection assist and pedestrian detection, evasive steering assist, lane keep assist, a driver attention monitor, rear parking sensors, and rear emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control and BlueCruise are optional, and some airbags are not available.
• Infotainment: A 12-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, a 4-inch instrument display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. BlueCruise is available on select trims, and upper trims can add larger audio systems, navigation, a full digital instrument panel, and twin sunroofs.
• Fuel efficiency: The Lobo test truck is rated at 14.8 L/100 km city, 10.4 highway, and 12.8 combined. The hybrid’s city fuel economy is 11.3 L/100 km.

Which 2026 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor, and Raptor.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the work-focused starting point, but it is also the most stripped-back version, so you should only choose it if price matters more than comfort and convenience.
• STX: This is a better everyday pick if you want a more polished look without jumping too far up the price ladder. It adds more style and remains a sensible value choice.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits in the middle of the range and can be paired with useful tech and convenience upgrades.
• Lariat: This is the sweet spot if you want the strongest all-rounder powertrain and a more upscale feel without going all the way to luxury-trim pricing.
• King Ranch: This is for buyers who want a more distinctive, premium cabin and extra features, though it pushes into expensive territory.
• Platinum: This is the more luxury-focused choice, with added comfort and convenience equipment, but it is best for shoppers who are willing to pay for it.
• Tremor: This is the off-road-leaning option in the lineup, and it is the right fit if you want more rugged capability than the mainstream trims.
• Raptor: This is the performance and desert-running model, with the most extreme hardware and the most powerful engines in the range.

Standard safety equipment is strong across the lineup, while BlueCruise and adaptive cruise control remain optional rather than universal.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Ford F-150?

Is the 2026 Ford F-150 safe?

The 2026 F-150 earns a Good rating in the IIHS small overlap and side crash tests, but a Poor rating in the front moderate overlap test. It also earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, including five-star ratings in the frontal and side crash tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward automatic emergency braking with intersection assist and pedestrian detection, evasive steering assist, lane keep assist, a driver attention monitor, rear parking sensors, and rear emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control is optional, along with BlueCruise.

A key caveat is that some airbags are not available, and the poor IIHS front moderate overlap result is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2026 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 test-drive notes highlight handsome design, easy tech and analogue controls, and strong turbocharged and supercharged engines.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers a similarly broad lineup with added driver-assistance systems and a more upscale Platinum Plus package.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of the F-150’s broad configuration spread and strong engine choices, the 2026 is the one to target. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 is still worth a look because it delivers much of the same core versatility with a similarly wide range of trims and powertrains.
