New & Used 2026 Ford F-150 for Sale nearNicolet, QC

Is the 2026 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — you rate it 4.5/5, and the expert rating is 6.67/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The 2026 Ford F-150’s appeal is its sheer breadth of choice: you can configure it across eight trims, three beds, three cabs, and six powertrains, which makes it one of the most versatile full-size trucks on the market. The test-drive notes also point to handsome design, easy tech and analogue controls, and strong turbocharged and supercharged engines.

The trade-offs are clear, though. Lower-priced versions can feel sparse, and the naturally aspirated V8 is described as lazy. At higher prices, it also does not feel as luxurious as Ram or GMC.

33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview and test-drive notes point to a truck that is broadly well sorted, with strong turbocharged engines and a lineup that is built around proven full-size pickup hardware. The performance notes also describe the turbo V6 engines as the F-150’s strength, which supports the sense that the core powertrain choices are the safer bets.

Ford’s powertrain warranty and lack of scheduled maintenance are average for the class.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing the wrong configuration, especially if you prioritise refinement or want to avoid the less convincing V8 setup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Ford F-150?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims can feel sparse, while the higher trims add more comfort and convenience but still do not match the luxury feel of Ram or GMC at similar prices.
• Powertrain: The 2.7-litre turbo V6 is the base engine, the 5.0-litre V8 is described as lazy, and the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 is the best all-rounder. The Raptor and Raptor R bring much more extreme output.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward automatic emergency braking with intersection assist and pedestrian detection, evasive steering assist, lane keep assist, a driver attention monitor, rear parking sensors, and rear emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control and BlueCruise are optional, and BlueCruise is unavailable on some trims.
• Infotainment: You get a 12-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, a 4-inch display in the analogue instrument panel, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. BlueCruise is available on select trims, and upper trims add features such as a full digital instrument panel and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is rated at 11.3 L/100 km in city driving, while the tested V8 model is rated at 14.8 L/100 km city, 10.4 highway, and 12.8 combined.

Which 2026 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor, and Raptor.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the work-focused starting point, but it is also the most basic version, so you should expect fewer amenities than the higher trims.
• STX: This adds a bit more style and equipment while staying relatively accessible, making it a sensible step up if you want value without going too far up the range.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it sits in the middle of the lineup and can be paired with useful tech and safety upgrades.
• Lariat: This is where the truck starts to feel more upscale, and it also unlocks the strong 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 as standard.
• King Ranch: This trim leans into premium comfort and distinctive styling, with richer interior materials and more luxury-oriented equipment.
• Platinum: This is the more polished luxury choice, with added convenience and comfort features, but it still trails the best Ram and GMC interiors for material quality.
• Tremor: This is the more rugged, capability-focused choice in the range, and it also gets the strong twin-turbo V6.
• Raptor: This is the high-performance off-road model, with much more power and the most extreme hardware in the lineup.

BlueCruise is optional on XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, and Platinum, and unavailable on other trims.

The 2026 Ford F-150 earns Good ratings from IIHS in the small overlap and side crash tests, but Poor in the front moderate overlap test, and it earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, including five-star ratings in the frontal and side crash tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward automatic emergency braking with intersection assist and pedestrian detection, evasive steering assist, lane keep assist, a driver attention monitor, rear parking sensors, and rear emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control is optional, along with BlueCruise.

A key caveat is the poor IIHS front moderate overlap result, and knee airbags, a front-centre airbag, and rear side airbags are not available.

Should I buy a 2026 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the F-150’s huge configuration spread and strong turbocharged and supercharged engine choices.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds a slew of new standard and optional driver-assistance systems.

The bottom line: If you want the broadest mix of trims, cabs, beds, and powertrains, the 2026 F-150 is the better target. If you are shopping on a tighter budget and want to compare feature content carefully, the 2025 is worth a look as a value alternative.
