New & Used 2026 Dodge Durango for Sale nearVal-d'Or, QC

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns 6.5/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It is a strong fit if you want a three-row SUV with an old-school feel, V8 power and sound, and a cabin that still relies on analogue controls rather than a heavily digitised layout. The Durango also has great exterior looks and great prices, which help balance its age and its dated interior materials.

The trade-offs are clear: modern safety features are lacking, and fuel economy is poor. For buyers who value character, utility, and muscle-car personality over freshness, it still makes sense.

30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango reliable?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is built around an older design, and that age shows up in the way it is positioned and equipped. Its long-running platform and straightforward analogue controls may appeal if you prefer a simpler ownership experience.

The Durango’s performance hardware is established, and the V6 and V8 powertrains are described as smooth in operation, with the eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD system working unobtrusively. The cost-effectiveness coverage also notes purchase incentives that help offset the vehicle’s age and support the value equation.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that an older design can bring more age-related wear and a greater need to scrutinise maintenance history carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trims are the ones most likely to leave you wanting more, especially if you care about convenience and driver-assistance equipment. The cabin is still refreshingly analogue, but the materials feel dated, so you should judge whether the lower trims give you enough equipment for the money.
• Powertrain: The 3.6-litre V6 makes 295 horsepower and is described as strained in a vehicle this heavy. The 5.7-litre Hemi V8 was available on some trims and brings much stronger performance, towing ability, and character.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus, and the Hellcat Jailbreak needs the Premium Group package for full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop.
• Infotainment: Every Durango gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM 360L, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Android Auto is wired.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 11.9 L/100 km combined, while the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 is rated at 14.3 L/100 km combined. The supercharged 6.2-litre V8 in the Hellcat Jailbreak rises to 17.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is offered in 4 trim levels: SXT, GT, GT Plus, Hellcat Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, but it is best for shoppers who mainly want the Durango’s shape, standard AWD, and core utility at the lowest price. It gets the basic safety equipment, but it is also the trim most likely to feel sparse.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds more equipment without jumping into the highest-priced versions. If you want the Durango experience with a better balance of features and cost, this is the one to focus on.
• GT Plus: Choose this if you want more comfort and a stronger safety feature set. It is the trim where lane departure warning becomes standard, and it also steps up the audio equipment.
• Hellcat Jailbreak: This is the extreme performance choice. It is for you if you want the most powerful, most dramatic Durango and are willing to accept the highest running costs and the most specialised setup.

The safety package is strongest on higher trims, while the base trims keep the standard driver-assistance list relatively limited.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 397 listings available.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns four-star ratings from NHTSA, and recent IIHS ratings were not available at the time of writing.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus. To get full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop on the Hellcat Jailbreak, you’ll need the Premium Group package.

A driver’s knee airbag and a central side airbag between the front seats are good features, but the Durango’s dated body structure means it will not perform as well in a crash as newer rivals designed around more recent crash tests.

Should I buy a 2026 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• It still delivers old-school V8 character and a modern infotainment setup.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It had a broader trim mix and a more complete final-year lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year Durango and value its mix of character, utility, and available deals, the 2026 is the one to target. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 can be worth a look for its broader lineup and final-year appeal.
