New & Used 2026 Dodge Durango for Sale near Squirrel Cove, BC

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns an 6.5/10 expert rating, and it is best understood as a three-row SUV for you if you want an old-school feel with modern utility. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It still delivers much of what today’s midsize SUV shoppers want, including strong power, technology, and practicality, but it does so in a package that has been on sale essentially unchanged since 2010. That age shows in the dated interior materials and the lack of modern safety features, even though the cabin keeps things refreshingly analogue and the exterior styling still looks good.

Trade-offs: Dated interior materials; poor fuel economy.

With 33.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango reliable?

The 2026 Dodge Durango’s long-running design and older chassis make its age hard to ignore, but it still presents as a mechanically familiar SUV rather than a complicated one. Its performance hardware is straightforward, and the eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD system are described as smooth and unobtrusive.

The Durango’s old-school layout and established powertrain approach can be appealing if you want something less digitally complex, and the available maintenance incentive helps soften ownership costs. Even so, its age, dated structure, and weak fuel economy mean long-term ownership risk is more about wear, upkeep, and the realities of an older platform than about novelty-driven complexity.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trims keep the Durango’s analogue character and strong exterior presence, but the cabin materials feel dated and the feature set is more basic than many rivals. Higher trims add leather, carbon fibre, and microsuede, though the materials are still described as low-quality for the class.
• Powertrain: You can find V6 models, and some V8-equipped examples may still be on dealer lots. The V6 is described as underpowered for the Durango’s mass, while the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 brings much stronger acceleration and towing ability.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus. Full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop require the Premium Group package on the Hellcat Jailbreak.
• Infotainment: Every Durango gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay; Android Auto is wired.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 11.9 L/100 km combined, while the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 is rated at 14.3 L/100 km combined. The SRT Hellcat Jailbreak rises to 17.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is offered in 4 trim levels: SXT, GT, GT Plus, and Hellcat Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and the Durango’s core personality without chasing extras. It still gets the standard 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and the basic safety equipment, but the six-speaker stereo and more limited feature set make it the most stripped-back choice.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds a more appealing middle-ground mix of equipment while staying well below the upper trims. It is also the trim where the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 was available, which makes it the one to seek out if you want the Durango’s stronger performance character.
• GT Plus: This is the trim to target if you want more comfort and convenience without jumping to the extreme end of the lineup. It adds a nine-speaker Alpine stereo and lane departure warning, and it is the better pick if you want a more complete daily-driver setup.
• Hellcat Jailbreak: This is the wild one, with 710 hp, huge Brembo brakes, sport suspension, and performance-focused infotainment functions such as launch control and a custom driving mode. It is for you if you want maximum drama and are willing to accept the steep price and fuel consumption.

The safety package is still limited on the lower trims, and several modern driver-assistance features remain unavailable across the lineup.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns four-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

A driver’s knee airbag and a central side airbag between the front seats are good features, but the Durango’s dated body structure means it will not perform as well in a crash as newer rivals designed around the latest IIHS tests. Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims, while lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus. Many modern driver-assistance features, including evasive steering assist and a semi-automated highway feature, are unavailable.

Should I buy a 2026 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals. It is the year for buyers who want old-school V8 character, analogue controls, and strong performance in a three-row SUV.
• Consider the 2025 if: It offers a more trimmed lineup with strong performance and a roomier, comfortable interior.
• The bottom line: The 2026 is the better fit if you want the Durango’s classic personality and can live with its age, safety gaps, and fuel use. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 may be worth a look for its similar strengths and potentially broader used-market choice.
