New & Used 2026 Dodge Durango for Sale nearFort St. John, BC

How much does the 2026 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices have softened 8.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 431 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns an expert rating of 6.5/10.

The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It suits you best if you want a three-row SUV with old-school analogue controls, strong exterior styling, and a distinctly performance-first character. The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel dated, modern safety features are lacking, and fuel economy is poor. For shoppers who value power and personality over polish, it still makes a compelling case.

29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango reliable?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is presented as an older design that has been sold essentially unchanged for years, so long-term ownership risk is tied more to age and upkeep than to novelty.

Its performance character is a strength, but the same dated platform that helps define it also means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition. The available information also points to a vehicle that prioritises power and practicality over modern refinement.

If you’re buying used, the biggest long-term risk is that age-related wear may show up faster than it would on a newer rival.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trims are light on modern driver-assistance features, while higher trims add more equipment. You should pay close attention to whether the features you want are standard or reserved for upper trims.
• Powertrain: The V6 is the main engine now listed for this model year, and it is described as older and strained in a heavy SUV. The available V8 options are the Durango’s big draw, but they are not the current default.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus, while the Hellcat Jailbreak needs the Premium Group package for full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop.
• Infotainment: Every Durango gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Android Auto is wired.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 11.9 L/100 km combined, while the Hemi V8 is rated at 14.3 L/100 km combined. The supercharged V8 rises to 17.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is offered in 4 trim levels: SXT, GT, GT Plus, and Hellcat Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, but it is also the most basic choice. It gets the core Durango formula and is best if you want the lowest starting point and can live without extra comfort or audio upgrades.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more equipment without jumping into the more expensive upper trims. It keeps the Durango’s core strengths intact while staying more approachable than the GT Plus or Hellcat Jailbreak.
• GT Plus: This trim adds more convenience and safety content, including lane departure warning. It suits you if you want a better-equipped family SUV and are willing to pay more for it.
• Hellcat Jailbreak: This is the extreme performance choice, with the most aggressive character and the most specialised equipment. It makes sense only if you want the full Durango performance experience and are comfortable with its high price and added complexity.

The safety package is limited on the lower trims, so make sure the trim you choose includes the driver-assistance features you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 431 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $58,480 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $58,480 CAD sits slightly below last year's $64,057 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Durango has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more pressure if the market stays soft. If you buy well now, you may be able to limit depreciation pain later. If you plan to resell soon, the current trend favours buyers more than sellers.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus. To get full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop on the Hellcat Jailbreak, you’ll need the Premium Group package.

The Durango’s dated body structure is a key caveat, and modern driver-assistance coverage is limited compared with newer rivals.

Should I buy a 2026 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.71% compared with last year.
• The 2026 keeps the Durango’s old-school analogue feel and strong performance focus.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $47,998 CAD, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $58,480 CAD average.
• It remains a likable, roomy, and practical three-row SUV.

The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the current-year market and are shopping for value in a performance-oriented SUV. Consider the 2025 if your priority is a lower purchase price and you want a similarly practical Durango at a cheaper entry point.
