New & Used 2026 Dodge Durango for Sale nearDeer Lake, NL

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns an expert rating of 6.5/10. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It is a three-row SUV that still gives you plenty of power, most of the technology you expect, and useful practicality for a modern midsize SUV. It also stands out if you prefer old-school analogue controls, strong exterior looks, and V8 character.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel dated, it lacks modern safety features, and fuel economy is poor. For buyers who want a muscular, old-school family SUV rather than a polished modern one, that mix can still make sense.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango reliable?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is described as old but still broadly aligned with what many SUV buyers want, and its long-running design means you are buying into a very mature platform. The expert test drive notes that it has all the power, most of the technology, and a lot of the practicality expected in a modern midsize SUV.

Its performance content also points to a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission and unobtrusive AWD behaviour, which supports the sense that the drivetrain is well sorted. The cost-effectiveness content adds that purchase incentives were available at the time of writing, which helps offset the vehicle’s age.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Durango’s age shows in its dated structure and cabin, so you should expect more compromise than in a newer rival.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trims are the ones most affected by feature gaps, especially when you compare them with higher trims that add more convenience and safety equipment. The cabin is also described as dated in its materials and switchgear, so you should inspect the interior closely for wear and finish quality.
• Powertrain: In Canada, the 3.6-litre V6 is the main engine now listed for most trims, while the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 was originally available on GT and GT Plus models. The V6 is described as underpowered for the Durango’s mass, while the V8 adds much stronger towing and acceleration.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus. To get full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop on the Hellcat Jailbreak, you need the Premium Group package.
• Infotainment: Every Durango comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen running Uconnect 5, with navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Android Auto is wired.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 11.9 L/100 km combined, while the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 is rated at 14.3 L/100 km combined. The SRT Hellcat Jailbreak rises to 17.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is offered in 5 trim levels: SXT, GT, GT Plus, GT Premium, and SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the Durango’s basic equipment set. It gets the standard safety items and the core Uconnect 5 infotainment setup, but it is also where the cabin’s age and feature gaps are easiest to notice.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it keeps the Durango’s core character while moving you up from the base model without jumping into the most expensive territory. It is also one of the trims that could be paired with the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 when that engine was available.
• GT Plus: This is the trim to target if you want more safety and convenience equipment, including lane departure warning as standard. It is the smarter pick if you want a better-equipped Durango without going all the way to the top.
• GT Premium: This trim sits above the GT Plus and was one of the trims paired with the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 when available. It suits you if you want a more upscale Durango with stronger performance potential.
• SRT Hellcat Jailbreak: This is the extreme choice if you want maximum power, the most dramatic driving experience, and the most performance-focused hardware. It is not the sensible pick, but it is the one for you if you want the Durango at its most outrageous.

For safety equipment, note that lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus, and the Premium Group package is needed on the Hellcat Jailbreak for the fullest driver-assistance set.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns four-star ratings overall from NHTSA.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus. To get full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop on the Hellcat Jailbreak, you’ll need the Premium Group package.

A driver’s knee airbag and a central side airbag between the front seats are good features, but the Durango’s dated body structure means it will not perform as well in a crash as newer rivals designed around the latest IIHS tests. Many modern driver-assistance features, including evasive steering assist and a semi-automated highway feature, are unavailable.

Should I buy a 2026 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Choose the 2026 if: It is the oldest new vehicle on sale, but still offers strong power and practical three-row utility.
• Consider the 2025 if: It is a likable, practical three-row SUV with a more complete lineup and a modern infotainment system.

The bottom line: if you want the Durango’s old-school character, strong power, and current-market pricing, the 2026 is the one to focus on. If you are more price-sensitive and want a nearby alternative with a similar appeal, the 2025 is worth a look, especially if you find the right trim and condition.
