New & Used 2026 Dodge Durango for Sale nearBaldonnel, BC

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns an 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It is a three-row SUV that still gives you the old-school feel many buyers want, with V8 power and sound, analogue controls, and a cabin layout that stays refreshingly straightforward. It also brings strong practicality for a midsize SUV, plus great exterior looks and great prices that help offset its age.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel dated, modern safety features are lacking, and fuel economy is poor.

For shoppers who want a muscular family SUV with character rather than a heavily digitised crossover, it still makes sense. Market availability is moderate, with 35.1% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango reliable?

The 2026 Dodge Durango’s long-running design and older Mercedes ML-Class-based chassis make its age hard to ignore, but it still delivers the kind of straightforward, familiar operation some buyers prefer. Its analogue controls and logical layout suggest a vehicle that is easy to live with day to day, and the performance hardware is described as smooth and unobtrusive in operation.

The Durango’s dependability story is tied to its mature mechanical package rather than cutting-edge complexity. That can be reassuring if you value proven hardware, but its age also means you should expect more wear-related risk than you would with a newer design.

If you buy used, long-term ownership risk is higher than average because the platform is old and the vehicle’s condition will matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trims are more stripped back, with the SXT and GT using a no-name six-speaker stereo, while upper trims add more equipment and materials. The cabin still feels dated, so you should judge whether the extra features in higher trims are worth the jump.
• Powertrain: Most trims can now only be ordered with the 3.6-litre V6, while the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 was available on GT and GT Plus models. The V6 is described as underpowered for the Durango’s mass, while the V8 adds much stronger towing and acceleration.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus. To get full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop on the Hellcat Jailbreak, you’ll need the Premium Group package.
• Infotainment: Every Durango comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen running Uconnect 5, with navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Android Auto is wired.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 11.9 L/100 km combined, while the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 is rated at 14.3 L/100 km combined. The SRT Hellcat Jailbreak rises to 17.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is offered in 4 trim levels: SXT, GT, GT Plus, and SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Durango’s core formula at the lowest price. It suits you if you want the look, the space, and the standard AWD without paying for extras.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it keeps the price in check while moving you up from the base model. It is also one of the trims that could be paired with the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 when available.
• GT Plus: This is the better choice if you want more comfort and safety equipment, including lane departure warning as standard. It also gets the nine-speaker Alpine stereo.
• SRT Hellcat Jailbreak: This is the extreme performance choice, with 710 hp, huge Brembo brakes, and sport suspension. It is for you if you want the most powerful and most dramatic Durango, not the most sensible one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find meaningful value if the right trim appears.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 379 listings available.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims. Lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus. To get full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with stop on the Hellcat Jailbreak, you’ll need the Premium Group package.

A driver’s knee airbag and a central side airbag between the front seats are good features, but the Durango’s dated body structure means it will not perform as well in a crash as newer rivals designed around the latest crash tests. Many modern driver-assist features are also unavailable.

Should I buy a 2026 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• You want old-school V8 character, analogue controls, and strong performance in a three-row SUV.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It was the final year of production and kept a likable, practical three-row formula.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of this old-school SUV formula, the 2026 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 can still make sense because it delivers much of the same character and utility.
