New & Used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale nearKingston, ON

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It stands out for its simplicity, with one powertrain, rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and five trim levels, and it’s available only as a crew-cab, short-bed truck. That makes it a straightforward choice if you want a midsize pickup that feels modern and easy to live with. The trade-offs are clear: Chevrolet calls out poor fuel economy and poor ergonomic design, and the interior materials can feel cheap. Even so, it remains an impressive midsize truck overall, though it plays runner-up to the Toyota Tacoma. Good and great deals account for 40.9% of listings.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Colorado is described as mostly unchanged for 2026, which can be reassuring if you prefer a proven formula rather than a major redesign. Chevrolet also positions it as a simple truck with one powertrain and a limited body-style range, which can help reduce complexity over time. Its turbocharged engine is presented as lively enough for the truck’s weight, and the overall package is framed as an impressive midsize pickup.

Chevrolet also notes that the Colorado offers good potential value, but poor fuel economy and weak safety ratings are part of the ownership picture. For used buyers, that means long-term satisfaction may be strong, but you should still budget carefully for running costs and verify the truck’s condition closely.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The WT is the foundation, the Trail Boss adds off-road capability, the LT serves as the basis of the Z71, and the ZR2 sits at the top with even more features and extra off-roading hardware. The base truck can feel sparse, especially compared with higher trims that add more equipment and capability.
• Powertrain: All trims use a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It makes 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, and fuel economy is described as poor, especially on higher-riding, off-road-focused versions.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist and Safety Package include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a safe following distance indicator. In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors are standard.
• Infotainment: The Colorado uses an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar connected services, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot. Wireless smartphone charging is available, and some trims add front and rear USB ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The truck can return as little as 11.1 L/100 km in combined city and highway driving in RWD form, and the test truck averaged 13.4 L/100 km during evaluation.

Which 2026 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, Trail Boss, LT, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the starting point if you want the Colorado’s core capability and are willing to keep things simple. It gives you the basic truck formula, but it’s the least equipped choice.
• Trail Boss: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds off-road-tuned suspension, a factory lift, all-terrain tires, and off-road-focused hardware without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• LT: This trim serves as the basis for the Z71, so it’s the stepping stone if you want to build toward a more feature-rich Colorado.
• Z71: This is the better pick if you want a more polished, higher-grade version of the truck while staying below the most extreme off-road model.
• ZR2: Choose this if you want the most off-road hardware, including 33-inch mud-terrain tires and Multimatic DSSV dampers.

The Colorado’s safety package is standard, while the Technology Package adds adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, and a high-definition surround-view camera system.

• Choose the 2026 if: Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

• Choose the 2026 if: It adds White Sands paint on Trail Boss and ZR2, a new Bronze Accent Package, and drops the snorkel and rubber bed mat options.
