Used 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan for Sale near Lewisporte, NL

How much does the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan cost?

Prices have softened 11.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 831 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan a good car?

The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan earns a 6/10 from our experts, and it leans into a refined, premium-leaning character rather than trying to be the most distinctive compact SUV in the class.

The model scores 6/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out for its German look and feel, a quieter cabin, and comfort-focused tuning, while the redesigned cabin also fixes the last generation’s user interface issues. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a handsome, easy-to-live-with crossover with a more upscale vibe.

The main trade-off is that it does not separate itself much from a crowded field, and it is held back by not much cargo space.

Only 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market looks selective rather than especially bargain-heavy.

Is the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan reliable?

The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is presented as a comprehensive improvement over its predecessor, with a more polished cabin experience and a drivetrain that delivers power more smoothly and linearly than before.

Its comfort-focused suspension and quiet cabin should help it feel easy to live with over time, and the expert assessment notes that the vehicle does not have any drawbacks that could be considered a deal breaker. The performance notes also point to confident braking and a composed ride, which are good signs for day-to-day dependability.

The standard equipment list includes post-collision braking, and the safety systems were described as functioning as they should during testing. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about a glaring flaw and more about whether the Tiguan’s modest cargo space and mainstream performance meet your needs over the years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Trendline gets the standard digital instrument panel and 12.9-inch touchscreen, while the top Highline R-Line adds an illuminated VW badge and light bar, plus a more upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower, 207 pound-feet of torque, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and standard 4Motion all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, safe passenger exit warnings, parking sensors, automatic high beams, Emergency Assist, and post-collision braking. The Highline R-Line adds a head-up display, surround-view camera system, and a traffic sign reader.
• Infotainment: All models get a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a digital instrument panel. The top trim upgrades to a 15-inch display with native navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates fuel consumption at 10.5 L/100 km in the city, 7.8 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan trim should I buy?

The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is offered in 4 trim levels: Trendline, Comfortline, Comfortline R-Line sport appearance package, Highline R-Line.

Here's the short version:

• Trendline: This is the best-value choice if you want the Tiguan’s core strengths without paying for extras you may not need. It already comes well equipped with the digital instrument panel, 12.9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and the full standard safety suite.
• Comfortline: This is the sensible step-up if you want a little more equipment and a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top trim. It keeps the Tiguan’s comfort-first character intact while adding niceties over the base model.
• Comfortline R-Line sport appearance package: Choose this if you want a sportier visual treatment and are willing to pay more for appearance-focused upgrades rather than a major change in capability.
• Highline R-Line: This is the trim to choose if you want the most premium Tiguan experience, including the 15-inch display, native navigation, head-up display, surround-view camera system, traffic sign reader, and illuminated exterior details.

The standard safety package is strong across the range, while the Highline R-Line adds extra driver-assistance hardware.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 831 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,196 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan's resale value?

The current average of $40,206 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,604 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Tiguan is currently more attractive to buyers than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect the market to remain competitive unless demand strengthens or inventory tightens.

For now, the lower average price can help you buy in at a more favourable point. As a future seller, though, you may need to price carefully to stand out against the current supply.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.84% compared with last year.
• The redesigned cabin fixes the last generation’s user interface issues while keeping the Tiguan’s refined, premium-leaning character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,492 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $40,206 CAD average.
• It offers stylish design and good handling.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer design, improved usability, and a more polished overall package. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better value play, especially if you are comfortable giving up the newer model’s updates.
