Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2025 Toyota Tacoma. It stands out because it combines the Tacoma nameplate’s long-standing reputation for durability with a thoroughly modern redesign, including a new frame, a remade interior, and new engines. For Canadian buyers, the standard Double Cab layout, modern infotainment, wireless smartphone integration, and available hybrid setup make it a practical fit if you want a midsize pickup that feels more contemporary without losing its rugged identity. 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Tacoma draws on a long-standing reputation for durability, and Toyota’s broad set of standard safety features adds to its appeal for everyday use. Its new frame and updated hardware also suggest a more modern foundation than older versions. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a truck that remains expensive even as it ages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Tacoma?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 344 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $57,640 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $57,642 CAD sits slightly below last year's $69,660 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at a strong price, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who bought when values were higher. The Tacoma’s broad appeal should still support demand, especially among shoppers who want a modern midsize truck with a durable reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,386 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $57,642 CAD average.
• It offers a major redesign with strong reliability and off-road capability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer, more refined Tacoma with modern tech and a strong satisfaction signal. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value path, especially if you find one with the equipment you want at a lower price.
