Is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2025 Toyota Tacoma stands out because it combines the Tacoma nameplate’s long-standing reputation for durability with a thoroughly modern redesign, including a new frame, a remade interior, and new engines. For Canadian buyers, it also brings a standard Double Cab layout, an 8.0-inch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a broad set of standard safety features, which makes it appealing if you want a midsize truck that feels more current without losing its rugged identity. 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Tacoma’s reputation for durability is a major part of its appeal, and this model year continues that theme with a thoroughly updated platform and modern hardware. Toyota also keeps a broad set of standard safety features in place, which adds confidence for everyday use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a truck that remains expensive even when it is well equipped.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Tacoma?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 335 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $57,678 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $57,678 CAD sits slightly below last year's $69,858 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more selectively today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because the Tacoma name carries strong buyer recognition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,463 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $57,678 CAD average.
• The 2024 brings a major redesign and a more modern starting point.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer, more refined Tacoma with stronger tech and a modernised feel. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value path, especially if you can find one in good condition at a lower asking price.
