What is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $57,194 CAD sits slightly below last year's $66,916 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more measured if the market stays competitive. For a seller, the Tacoma’s strong reputation and broad appeal should still support demand, especially if the truck is well equipped and lightly used. The current price range also suggests there is room for value retention if you keep mileage and condition in check.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $52,890 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $57,194 CAD average.
• It offers a simpler, more utility-focused first-year redesign.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It offers more versions and powertrain combinations for broader buyer choice.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Tacoma with modern features and a strong satisfaction signal, the 2025 is the primary pick. If price matters most, the 2024 is the better value path, while the 2026 makes sense if you want more configuration flexibility.
