CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Toyota Sienna
overall

Summary
With 275 currently listed for sale and an average price of $59,319 CAD, 29.8% of 2025 Toyota Sienna listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Toyota Sienna 5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.33 / 10.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Sienna stands out in the minivan class because it pairs a standard hybrid powertrain with practical features that make day-to-day use easier. It is also described as getting on in years, but it still remains a worthy contender thanks to its combination of efficiency and usefulness. The available all-wheel-drive system adds extra traction, which broadens its appeal for buyers who want a minivan that can handle less-than-ideal conditions with more confidence.
It also has some clear strengths behind the wheel and in the cabin. The 2025 Sienna is noted for a great ride quality, a quiet cabin, and easy-to-use technology. Its combined fuel consumption is listed at 6.6–6.8 litres per 100 kilometres, and one especially practical advantage is that you never need to remove the second-row seats to use its cargo area. The main trade-off is that its maximum cargo capacity falls short of rivals, so buyers who prioritise outright load space may find it less compelling than some alternatives.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating.
The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.
It pairs a standard hybrid powertrain with practical family-hauling features, and it also offers available all-wheel drive for extra traction. The cabin is praised for its quietness and easy-to-use technology, while the ride quality is a clear strength for everyday use.
The trade-offs are an irritating transmission and less outright load space than rivals.
With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2025 Sienna is presented as a practical, efficiency-focused minivan that still feels useful and easy to live with. Its hybrid setup is designed to save fuel, and the available all-wheel-drive system adds versatility for tougher weather or road conditions. The expert evaluation also describes the cabin and road manners as calm and user-friendly.
Its hybrid powertrain is described as quiet in steady driving, and the technology is generally straightforward to use. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to strong value if your driving and cargo needs line up with what the Sienna offers.
For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that real-world fuel economy and cargo capacity may not match your expectations if you need maximum efficiency or maximum space.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The lineup includes LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited, with the Limited and Platinum package adding more upscale equipment. Base trims have smaller displays, and the LE has three-zone climate control instead of the four-zone setup found higher up the range.
- Powertrain: You get a hybrid system with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive adds a rear-mounted electric motor for extra traction.
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also included.
- Infotainment: Higher-spec models get a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen for Toyota Audio Multimedia. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and connected services add more capability when active.
- Fuel efficiency: The official combined fuel consumption figure is 6.6 L/100 km, and the evaluation loop returned 8.9 L/100 km combined.
Which 2025 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Sienna is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited.
Here's the short version:
- LE: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the Sienna’s hybrid efficiency and family-friendly packaging at the lowest starting point. It gives you the core Sienna experience, but you give up some of the richer tech and comfort features found higher up.
- XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday comfort and convenience without pushing you all the way to the top of the range. If you want a more complete family vehicle, this is the trim to focus on first.
- XSE: Choose this if you want a sportier look and a sport-tuned suspension. It is the trim for buyers who want a little more personality, but you should still keep expectations realistic about driving excitement.
- Limited: This is the trim to buy if you want the most upscale Sienna experience. It brings the richest tech and convenience content, including the larger displays and premium features that make long family trips easier.
The Safety content points to Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 across the lineup, with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert included on all Siennas.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.
- Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 284 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.40% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $58,189 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Toyota Sienna's resale value?
The current average of $59,196 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,575 CAD.
That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. The Sienna’s value story still benefits from its hybrid efficiency, practical packaging, and broad family appeal. If demand stays steady, those strengths should help support used-market interest over time.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna safe?
The 2025 Sienna earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, but it also scores four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star protection for the driver in a frontal impact.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.
A notable caveat is that the Sienna does not use Toyota’s newer Safety Sense 3.0 system, and the NHTSA frontal result is weaker than the overall score suggests.
Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.40% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It adds new rear-seat reminder technology and keeps the useful hybrid-and-AWD formula.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $54,657 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,196 CAD average.
- It is a comfy, efficiency-focused hybrid with plenty of safety features.
The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the latest convenience updates and you value the 2025’s current market softness, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
