How much does the 2025 Toyota Corolla cost?

There are 371 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla a good car?

With a 3/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating, the 2025 Toyota Corolla looks like a sensible pick if you want an affordable compact car that leans on practicality, technology, and a strong reliability reputation rather than flash. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

It brings modern infotainment and safety technology, and it is described as more enjoyable to drive than its plain reputation suggests. The trade-offs are clear: it can be noisy, and the stereo is lacking.

For shoppers who want a straightforward daily driver with real flexibility, the Corolla’s sedan and hatchback body styles, plus gas and hybrid powertrains, broaden its appeal. There are 32.3% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you may find some worthwhile listings if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Corolla is built around mechanical simplicity, and that supports its reputation for reliability and lower ownership stress over time. The CVT is the most unusual mechanical element, but the overall package is described as straightforward and affordable to own.

Its dependability story is reinforced by the Corolla’s reputation for reliability and by Toyota’s coverage, including a three-year/60,000-kilometre basic warranty and a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty. Toyota also includes free trial subscriptions to various connected service plans on certain trim levels, which adds some ownership value.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about whether the example you choose has been maintained well and whether you can live with the Corolla’s noise and modest fuel economy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Corolla?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Corolla is the simplest version, while the LE adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist. If you want a more upscale feel, the available 10.5-inch touchscreen appears in the XSE, and the SE is described as the sweet spot because it adds a sportier character and avoids the plain vanilla look of the base trims.
• Powertrain: Gas-only models use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, paired with a Dynamic Shift CVT. It is adequate rather than class-leading, and the CVT’s launch gearset helps it feel quicker off the line.
• Safety package: Every Corolla gets Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, and a road sign recognition system. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist are not standard on the base trim.
• Infotainment: The available 10.5-inch touchscreen is paired with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota Audio Multimedia also adds connected services, including Safety Connect standard on every Corolla, while Drive Connect and Remote Connect are available on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the gas-only Corolla at 6.7–6.8 L/100 km combined, depending on trim.

Which 2025 Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Corolla is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, SE, XSE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the trim to focus on if you want the best value and the most important safety upgrades over the base car. It adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist, making it the smarter choice if you want a more complete everyday package without chasing the highest price.
• SE: This is the sweet-spot trim. It adds a sportier character and avoids the plain vanilla look of the base Corolla trims, so it is the one to target if you want the best balance of value and personality.
• XSE: This is the trim to choose if you want the larger 10.5-inch touchscreen and the most upscale tech presentation in the Corolla lineup. It also brings the strongest connected-services package, including a three-year trial for Drive Connect and Remote Connect.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist arrive at the LE trim one level up from base.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop around without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 371 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,359 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $27,359 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,013 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Corolla has become more attractive to used buyers, which can make it a tougher vehicle for future sellers to command top dollar quickly. If you own one, you may need to price it competitively to stand out. On the other hand, the model’s strong reputation and broad appeal should still help it hold reasonable value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla safe?

The 2025 Toyota Corolla earns five-star ratings in all crash tests from NHTSA, along with a four-star rollover resistance rating. The IIHS named it a 2024 Top Safety Pick.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, and a road sign recognition system. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist are not standard on the base trim, but they arrive at the LE trim one level up from base.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.78% compared with last year.
• The 2025 Corolla gives you a strong mix of reliability, modern infotainment, and standard advanced safety features, while still being more enjoyable to drive than its reputation suggests.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing and updated equipment, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025’s softer pricing and broad appeal make it the cleaner buy for most shoppers.
