Is the 2025 Tesla Model 3 a good car?

The 2025 Tesla Model 3 can be a compelling choice if you want a compact electric sedan with strong everyday usability, advanced tech, and the low running-cost appeal that draws many shoppers to Tesla. It earns a user rating of 1/5, and its appeal is tied to the brand’s familiar electric performance and the possibility of finding a used example at a much lower price than new.

The Model 3 is especially relevant if you value efficiency and technology, but you should pay close attention to the exact vehicle because equipment can vary from car to car. 49.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market flexibility.

Is the 2025 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

The 2025 Tesla Model 3 is shaped by Tesla’s incremental update approach, so you need to verify the exact hardware and software fitted to the car you are considering. The overview also notes that battery packs have varied over time in chemistry, size, and range, which makes vehicle-by-vehicle checking especially important.

For used buyers, that means reliability is less about the model name alone and more about confirming the specific configuration and update history of the car in front of you. Long-term ownership risk is mainly tied to buying a poorly documented example with mismatched hardware or software.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Tesla Model 3?

This looks like a favourable buyer’s market if you are shopping carefully and comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 49.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 51 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $46,944 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $50,793 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,217 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more attractive to you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value may depend heavily on condition, documentation, and how well the car is equipped relative to similar listings. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Should I buy a 2025 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 49.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.01% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better path if you want the newest version in this market and you are comfortable checking each car’s exact equipment carefully. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar ownership experience at a lower entry cost, so it is worth comparing listings side by side before you decide.
