Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek is a simple, practical small crossover that leans on Subaru’s familiar formula rather than chasing complexity. It is a budget-friendly daily driver with real utility, especially if you value traction and versatility over flash.

Its standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails give it a distinctly outdoorsy character. The Crosstrek is especially appealing if you want a compact vehicle that feels well suited to everyday use and rougher weather.

31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek’s straightforward design helps keep it approachable, and that simplicity is part of its appeal. It uses familiar mechanicals and avoids unnecessary complexity, which can be reassuring if you want a used vehicle that is easy to live with.

It is also built around a practical formula that prioritises everyday usefulness and all-weather confidence. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that you may need to accept a less refined driving experience if you plan to keep it for many years.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without assuming every listing is a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 730 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,537 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $33,544 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,912 CAD.

That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you if you are buying now. For a future seller, it also means resale values may stay competitive, but you should not expect a strong upward swing in the near term. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and buy at the right price, you can reduce the impact of that softer trend later.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.09% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,065 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $33,544 CAD average.
• It offers standard all-wheel drive and a refreshed, feature-rich package.

The 2025 is the better pick if you want the current-year market and are comfortable paying more for it. If your priority is value, the 2024 is the smarter path because it delivers much of the Crosstrek’s core appeal for less money.
