Used 2025 RAM 1500 for Sale nearCourtenay, BC

How much does the 2025 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 9.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,116 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 RAM 1500 a good car?

Generally — the 2025 RAM 1500 earns a 4/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal with some clear caveats. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise the sharp looks, smooth ride, and powerful engine options, and they also highlight the quality and finish of the cabin. The truck’s premium feel and spaciousness come through strongly in the feedback, while the updated tech helps it feel more modern and upscale.

The main trade-offs are that some owners think the price is steep and a few wish the touchscreen experience were better. In practical terms, this is a truck that suits you if you want a full-size pickup with a more polished, premium character rather than a purely utilitarian one.

With 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable, with buyers describing it as a standout choice and praising its quality and finish. The expert drive notes also support that impression, with smooth, well-timed shifts from the eight-speed automatic and a ride that feels appropriately composed for a full-size truck.

Ram also says the new engine architecture is more efficient, which should help ownership confidence over time if you plan to keep the truck for the long haul. For used buyers, the main risk is less about basic durability and more about making sure the equipment level matches what you expect, especially on higher-tech or safety-focused trims.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from the work-focused Tradesman to the new Tungsten, with clear differences in appearance and cabin luxury. Base trims miss some of the premium touches and high-tech features that make the upper trims feel especially upscale.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 or a 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six in standard-output or high-output form. Ram says the newer engine architecture brings better fuel efficiency, and the eight-speed automatic is standard across the range.
• Safety package: The available Hands-Free Driving Assist system is Ram’s Level 2+ semi-autonomous setup, and it can change speeds, maintain distance, and keep the truck centred in lane on approved roadways. Newly enhanced automatic emergency braking now includes evasive steering assist, but blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, and the surround-view camera are not standard.
• Infotainment: An 8.4-inch screen is standard even on the base Tradesman, a 12-inch screen is available, and the 14.5-inch touchscreen is available on tested models. The 10.25-inch passenger screen becomes available starting with Laramie, and the system runs Uconnect 5.
• Fuel efficiency: Ram says the new engine architecture translates to better fuel efficiency, even during trailer towing.

Which 2025 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2025 RAM 1500 is offered in 6 trim levels: Tradesman, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, Limited, Tungsten.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and the core Ram 1500 experience. It gets the standard 8.4-inch screen, but you give up much of the luxury and advanced equipment that define the higher trims.
• Laramie: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it unlocks the 10.25-inch passenger screen and adds a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the luxury end of the range.
• Rebel: Choose this if you want the factory off-road character. It stands apart visually and is the trim the experts drove on a dedicated off-road loop.
• Longhorn: This trim leans into premium comfort and becomes the point where air suspension is standard, which adds to ride quality and versatility.
• Limited: This is the high-end luxury pick before the new top trim, with a more premium interior treatment and the kind of equipment buyers expect in a near-luxury truck.
• Tungsten: This is the most luxurious version, with the richest materials, the most distinctive cabin presentation, and the most feature-rich feel overall.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so if driver-assistance equipment matters to you, check the exact trim and option content carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,116 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $63,552 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $63,552 CAD sits slightly below last year's $70,353 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale will depend on how well the market absorbs this model year’s higher equipment and pricing. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less room for depreciation pressure later than someone who pays near the top of the range.

The truck’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when you eventually sell. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2025 RAM 1500 earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The available Hands-Free Driving Assist system is Ram’s Level 2+ semi-autonomous setup, and it can change speeds, maintain a safe following distance, and keep the truck centred in its lane on approved roadways. Newly enhanced automatic emergency braking now includes evasive steering assist, and Ram says the cameras can detect a cyclist or motorcycle in the blind spot.

You should also note that several desirable driver-assistance features are not standard, including blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, and the surround-view camera. That means you’ll want to check trim and option content closely if safety tech is a priority for you.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The big story this year is the major update, with more technology, a hands-free driving system, and new powertrain options.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The Hemi V8 returns with a characterful badge and broader powertrain choice.

The bottom line: If you want the newer-feeling truck with the stronger value case right now, the 2025 makes a lot of sense. If engine character matters most and you want the Hemi back in the mix, the 2026 is the better fit. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2025 is the one to watch closely because the market has already softened and there are still plenty of listings to compare.
