Used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 12.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 328 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns an 7.33/10 expert rating, and it is positioned as a well-rounded three-row SUV that focuses on value, practicality, and everyday usability.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It brings excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, and a modern design, and it does so at a competitive price. The trade-offs are that it is not as composed on the road as some competitors, and its tech is described as unimpressive. Even so, it suits you well if you want a family haulier that feels sensible rather than flashy.

There are 38.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, which is a solid sign that you can still find attractive examples in the market.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is presented as a solid, reliable experience across ownership, with a tried-and-true 3.5-litre V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission that operates unobtrusively.

The engine has been in service in one form or another for a long time, which means mechanics should be familiar with it and parts should be readily available. The Pathfinder’s overall package also leans into comfort, practicality, and safety rather than complexity, which can be reassuring if you want a straightforward used SUV.

For long-term ownership, your main risk is that the Pathfinder’s softer road manners and modest tech may feel dated sooner than some rivals, even if the core mechanicals are familiar.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, Platinum, and Captain’s Chairs trims each bring different equipment levels. The base S and SV use cloth seats, while the Rock Creek adds leatherette-and-cloth upholstery with orange accents. The SL moves to full leather, and the Platinum upgrades to quilted semi-aniline leather in the first and second rows. Heated front seats, steering wheel, outboard mirrors, and washer nozzles are standard in Canada, but ventilation is reserved for the Platinum. If you want heated outboard second-row seats, you need the SL or Platinum.
• Powertrain: You get one naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6, with 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft in most trims, or 295 hp and 270 lb-ft in the Rock Creek. The nine-speed automatic is standard, and the Rock Creek’s all-terrain tyres can blunt acceleration a bit. The base S has a lower towing limit than the other trims.
• Safety package: Every trim gets blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist. Traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: Screen size is 8 inches on the S, SV, and Rock Creek, and 9 inches on the SL and Platinum. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless projection is limited to the 9-inch screen and only for Apple devices. Navigation is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rock Creek returns 11.9 L/100 km in city driving, 10.0 on the highway, and 11.1 combined. Other trims return 11.7 L/100 km city, 9.3 highway, and 10.6 combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, Platinum, and Captain’s Chairs.

Here’s the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Pathfinder’s core value proposition at the lowest price. It is the trim to consider if you want the most affordable way into the model, but it also has the fewest convenience and tech extras.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful everyday equipment without pushing the price as high as the upper trims. If you want a balanced Pathfinder, this is the one to focus on first.
• Rock Creek: This is the trim to choose if you want the most distinctive look and a more adventurous personality. It adds all-terrain tyres, a roof rack, and unique styling, but it is less composed on-road and best suited to light off-roading.
• SL: This is the trim to buy if you want a more upscale cabin and more tech. It adds leather seats, navigation, and traffic sign recognition, making it a strong middle-ground choice.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious Pathfinder, with quilted semi-aniline leather, ventilation, a larger driver display, and a head-up display. Choose it if you want the most features and are willing to pay for them.
• Captain’s Chairs: This trim is for you if second-row comfort and convenience matter most. It sits at the top of the range and is the most family-focused configuration.

Every Pathfinder trim includes Nissan’s standard driver-assistance suite, so you do not need to move up the range for core safety tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 328 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,813 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $49,813 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,807 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pathfinder has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help you get into a better-equipped trim for less money. For a future seller, it also means you should expect a softer resale environment than last year’s market. If you buy well now, you may be able to offset some of that depreciation by choosing a trim and price point that already reflect current market softness.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as well as a five-star overall rating in crash testing performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Digging deeper, the NHTSA awarded it four stars in overall frontal crash testing and four stars in its roll-over evaluation.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Pathfinder trim comes with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist. Traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum trims.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.31% compared with last year.
• It keeps the Pathfinder’s well-rounded value, safety, and practicality focus while adding slight updates.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more convenience features and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the smarter buy because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you are willing to pay more for added convenience and a larger screen, the 2026 is the better path.
