How much does the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 10.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is a strong luxury SUV if you value variety, a premium cabin, and a family-friendly layout, though its size and styling compromises may not suit everyone. It earns a user rating of 3/5 and an expert rating of 7.5/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Its multiple body styles and multiple powertrain options give you more choice than many rivals, and the stylish interior helps it feel upscale for the class. The trade-offs are clear: the styling is ungainly, it drives bigger than it looks, and outward visibility is poor.

With 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is positioned as a mainstream Mercedes luxury SUV with a broad powertrain range and a strong feature set, which supports its appeal for long-term ownership. Its performance content points to a lineup that includes efficient and high-output options, and the cabin and technology package are designed to feel substantial and well equipped.

Mercedes includes a four-year/80,000-kilometre new-vehicle warranty, which helps offset some ownership uncertainty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a more complex luxury SUV can become expensive to maintain as mileage climbs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GLE’s styling and cabin presentation are a big part of the appeal, with a more rounded profile, a wide stance, and an upscale interior that uses distinctive materials and ambient lighting. Base versions still bring a premium feel, but you should compare equipment carefully because the model range is broad and some features are reserved for higher trims or options.
• Powertrain: You get a wide spread of engines, starting with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with mild hybrid assistance and moving up to a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six, a plug-in hybrid, and AMG performance models. The lineup also includes efficiency and performance trade-offs, so you should choose based on whether you want lower running costs, more power, or electric driving capability.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with exit assist, crosswind assist, parking assist, a driver attention monitor, a 360-degree camera system, and Pre-Safe. Adaptive cruise control is part of the optional Driver Assistance Package, which also adds stop-and-go functionality, lane-change assist, evasive steering assist, cross-traffic functionality for automatic emergency braking, and an expanded driver-monitoring system.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses two 12.3-inch screens, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus built-in navigation. You also get multiple ways to control the system, including touchpads, buttons, and voice recognition, so it is worth checking whether you like the interface before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four GLE 350 is rated at 10.8 L/100 km combined, the GLE 450e 4Matic plug-in hybrid is rated at 10.2 L/100 km combined in hybrid mode, and the AMG GLE 63 S is rated at 15.2 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 5 trim levels: GLE 350, GLE 450 4Matic, GLE 450e 4Matic, AMG GLE 53 4Matic+, AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350: This is the value-focused starting point, with the 2.0-litre turbo-four and the same core Mercedes tech and safety foundation as the rest of the range. It makes the most sense if you want the GLE experience without chasing extra power.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the best all-round choice if you want the smoother 3.0-litre inline-six and a stronger balance of refinement and performance. It is the trim most buyers should start with if they want the sweet spot in the lineup.
• GLE 450e 4Matic: Choose this if electric range matters to you, since it adds plug-in hybrid capability and up to 80 kilometres of electric driving range. It suits shoppers who can charge regularly and want lower fuel use in daily driving.
• AMG GLE 53 4Matic+: This is the performance-oriented step up, with significantly more power and a more aggressive character. It is for you if you want a faster, more dramatic GLE and are willing to pay for it.
• AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+: This is the top performance model, with the hand-assembled V8 and the most extreme output in the range. It is the right pick only if outright performance is your priority.

Adaptive cruise control remains part of the optional Driver Assistance Package rather than standard equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 225 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.24% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $96,171 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $96,171 CAD sits slightly below last year's $107,141 CAD.

That price movement suggests the GLE has become more approachable for used buyers than it was a year ago. If you buy at today's average or below, you may have less downside than someone who bought when prices were higher. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 2025 Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with exit assist, crosswind assist, parking assist, a driver attention monitor, a 360-degree camera system, and Pre-Safe. Adaptive cruise control is not standard; it is included with the optional Driver Assistance Package, which also adds stop-and-go functionality, lane-change assist, evasive steering assist, cross-traffic functionality for automatic emergency braking, and an expanded driver-monitoring system that can bring the vehicle to a stop if the driver is unresponsive.

The front-crash prevention tech receives only “Marginal” and “Acceptable” ratings in standard and optional forms, respectively, so that is worth noting if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.24% compared with last year.
• The 2025 model keeps the broad powertrain range and strong technology that make the GLE appealing.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a standard AMG Line exterior on the six-cylinder GLE 450.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the broader market of used listings and a softer price point. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 is the easier year to shop; if you want the newer styling cue on the six-cylinder model, the 2026 is worth a look.
