Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Sportage?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently while still keeping an eye out for standout listings.

• Inventory: There are 556 listings available.

If you find a listing below $32,647 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $32,898 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,745 CAD.

That softer pricing can matter if you're planning to sell later, because today's market value sets the baseline for future depreciation. If prices remain stable or recover, a buyer who purchases near the lower end of the range could be better positioned at resale time. The Sportage’s broad appeal and flexible powertrain lineup should help support demand, especially among shoppers who want a practical compact SUV with more features than the average entry-level model.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $36,850 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $32,898 CAD average.
• It brings revised styling and a more modern overall look.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the better value and more room to negotiate. Consider the 2026 if refreshed styling matters enough to justify the higher price, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2025 the smarter buy.

How does the 2025 Kia Sportage compare to the 2025 Hyundai Tucson?

The Sportage gives you a slightly lower starting price and a stronger share of good or great deals, while the Tucson offers more listings and a marginally better highway figure.
