Is the 2025 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2025 Kia Seltos is a subcompact crossover that aims to feel bigger and more polished than its footprint suggests. It offers a surprisingly premium interior for the price, a larger footprint than some rivals, and a distinctive visual identity that helps it stand out in a crowded segment.

For 2025, it also benefits from sharper styling, improved interior materials, a revised turbocharged engine, and added safety equipment across the lineup. If you want a small SUV with practical packaging, intuitive controls, and a refined chassis, it fits that brief well.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2025 Kia Seltos is presented as a thoughtfully executed small crossover with a high-quality feel, refined driving dynamics, and generous passenger and cargo space for its size. It also has intuitive controls and practical packaging, which are useful signs for everyday ownership.

It is not the quietest choice, and the base engine is described as underpowered, so you should expect some compromises in day-to-day use. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about living with those trade-offs than dealing with a vehicle that is trying to be something it is not.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 732 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.08% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,915 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $27,915 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,749 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Seltos has become more affordable in the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point. For a future seller, it also means you may face more competition if market prices stay soft. If you plan to resell later, buying well now matters because the current trend leaves less room for price appreciation.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.08% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,144 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $27,915 CAD average.
• It offers practical space, easy-to-use technology, and a strong list of standard safety features.

The 2025 is the better pick if you want the refreshed look, updated equipment, and a market that is currently leaning in your favour. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the value play because it delivers much of the same practical appeal for less money.
