Is the 2025 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2025 Kia Seltos stands out as a subcompact crossover that aims to feel bigger and more polished than its footprint suggests. It offers a more rugged personality, a surprisingly premium interior for the price, and generous passenger and cargo space for a vehicle of this size.

For 2025, it also benefits from sharper styling, improved interior materials, a revised turbocharged engine, and an eight-speed torque converter automatic. The cabin remains one of its strengths, with intuitive controls and refined driving dynamics that suit you if you want a small SUV that feels thoughtfully executed rather than basic.

35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2025 Kia Seltos is presented as a practical, well-rounded small crossover with a refined chassis, intuitive controls, and a strong feature set. Its appeal comes from being easy to live with while still offering a more polished feel than many rivals in the segment.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a vehicle with this much equipment and complexity can become more expensive to maintain if it has been neglected or driven hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings carefully rather than rushing into the first example you see.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 708 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,114 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $28,114 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,750 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has moved in your favour if you're buying now, but it also means future resale may be softer than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, buying at a lower entry price can help offset some of that depreciation. Well-priced examples should still hold appeal because the Seltos has broad practicality and strong everyday usability.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.45% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,267 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,114 CAD average.
• It offers roomy space and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version with updated styling and equipment, the 2025 is the better primary choice. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play and still gives you the Seltos' practical strengths.
