Is the 2025 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2025 Kia Seltos is a subcompact crossover that aims to feel bigger and more polished than its footprint suggests. It offers a more rugged personality, a surprisingly premium interior for the price, and generous passenger and cargo space for a vehicle of this size.

For 2025, it also benefits from sharper styling, improved interior materials, a revised turbocharged engine, and an eight-speed torque converter automatic. If you want a small SUV with intuitive controls and a thoughtfully executed cabin, it fits that brief well. 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2025 Kia Seltos is presented as a well-rounded small crossover with refined driving dynamics, practical packaging, and a high-quality feel. It also comes with added safety equipment, including forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist.

Its strengths are balanced by a few trade-offs, including a cabin that is not the quietest and a base engine described as underpowered. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about living with those compromises than expecting a fundamentally flawed vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Seltos?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 679 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,298 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $28,298 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,929 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently today, but it also means future resale values may face some pressure if the market stays loose. If you plan to sell later, a well-priced purchase now gives you more room to absorb depreciation. For a future seller, condition and mileage will matter even more when the market has already moved down.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.37% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,245 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,298 CAD average.
• It offers practical space and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the refreshed look, updated equipment, and a market that is giving you some negotiating room. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter secondary path because it delivers much of the same practical appeal at a lower average price.
