Why it stands out
The 2025 Honda Passport stands out as a two-row midsize SUV that blends everyday practicality with a stronger sense of capability than many rivals. It was revived in 2019 as an all-new crossover, designed in the United States and built alongside the Pilot in Alabama, and its shorter body gives it a sportier profile, better departure angles, and slightly more ground clearance than the Pilot. That formula makes it appealing to buyers who want generous space and a comfortable ride without moving up to a three-row SUV.
For 2025, the Passport’s appeal is rooted in its strong standard equipment and useful packaging. It comes with Honda’s i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system in Canada, a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, and a nine-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tri-zone automatic climate control, a power moonroof, and Honda Sensing safety features. Cargo space is another strength, with 1,430 litres behind the second row and 2,852 litres with the rear seats folded, while towing capacity is rated at 2,268 kilograms (5,000 pounds) when properly equipped.
There are trade-offs, though. The Passport’s infotainment system was criticised as dated, the 8-inch touchscreen felt small compared with competitors’ larger displays, and the model has no hybrid option. Even so, its comfortable ride, spacious interior, strong V6 powertrain, and solid reliability reputation make the 2025 Honda Passport a compelling choice for shoppers who value capability and everyday usability in equal measure.

How much does the 2025 Honda Passport cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $48,681 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $48,036 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $55,128 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $55,204 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −11.81% |
Prices have softened 11.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 93 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2025 Honda Passport a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a two-row midsize SUV that blends everyday practicality with a stronger sense of capability than many rivals, while still offering generous space and a comfortable ride. For you, that means it suits shopping if you want a roomy, comfortable SUV without moving up to a three-row model. With 21.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some market opportunity if you shop carefully.
Is the 2025 Honda Passport reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Passport’s strong reliability reputation is supported by its proven V6 powertrain and straightforward packaging. For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership risk than a more complex or newly redesigned alternative, especially if you want a vehicle built around familiar hardware.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Passport?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 21.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 93 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.81% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $48,036 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Honda Passport's resale value?
The current average of $48,681 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,204 CAD.
That price movement suggests the Passport has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than last year. If you buy near the lower end of the current range, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure. The model’s practical appeal and broad usefulness should help support demand, even as prices adjust.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2025 Honda Passport or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 21.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.81% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $45,951 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,681 CAD average.
- It offers a familiar, practical feel with proven capability.
Consider the 2026 if:
- At $60,755 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $48,681 CAD average.
- It brings a thoroughly redesigned, more modern package.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and current market availability, the 2025 is the strongest all-around pick. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the better value path. If you want the newest design and are comfortable paying more, the 2026 is the upgrade to consider.
