How much does the 2025 Honda Odyssey cost?

There are 160 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey a good car?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey earns an expert rating of 6.33/10.

The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It remains a comfortable, exceptionally practical minivan that is still enjoyable to drive, with comfortable seats and plenty of cargo space. At the same time, the updates for 2025 do not fully solve its weaknesses: the technology is still described as meeting only minimum standards and expectations, and the model is presented as falling behind rivals on value.

Trade-offs: You give up a hybrid powertrain and an all-wheel-drive option, and the infotainment system is still considered substandard despite the update.

With 31.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market does offer some attractive opportunities if you are willing to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey reliable?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey is presented as a familiar, comfort-focused family minivan with a long-established formula, and its driving character is described as smooth, natural, and rewarding for a minivan. The powertrain is a tried-and-true 3.5-litre V6 paired with a 10-speed automatic, and the vehicle is tuned for a connected but compliant ride with responsive steering and braking.

Honda’s Honda Sensing suite operates smoothly and unobtrusively, which supports day-to-day confidence. The model also benefits from straightforward controls and a traditional cabin layout that should feel easy to live with.

Honda does not offer a hybrid powertrain or AWD, so long-term ownership costs may stay higher than some rivals and the model may not suit buyers who want maximum efficiency or extra traction.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Odyssey?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: In Canada, the 2025 Odyssey comes in Sport, Sport-L, Touring, and Black Edition trim levels. The base Sport is the entry point, while the Touring and Black Edition add front and rear parking sensors.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. There is no hybrid powertrain or AWD option.
• Safety package: Every 2025 Odyssey has Honda Sensing, with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Touring and Black Edition trims add front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: The 2025 model gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and an available smartphone charging pad. Honda also adds USB-C charging ports throughout the cabin.
• Fuel efficiency: According to Natural Resources Canada, the 2025 Odyssey should use 10.6 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which 2025 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sport-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Odyssey formula at the lowest price. It is the trim to start with if you want the family-hauling basics without stretching for extras.
• Sport-L: This is the best-value trim if you want a more appealing balance of equipment and price. It builds on the lower trim with more comfort and convenience content while staying below the higher-end Touring and Black Edition models.
• Touring: This trim is the better pick if you want more premium family features and are willing to pay for them. It also adds front and rear parking sensors.
• Black Edition: Choose this if you want the top trim and the fullest equipment list in the range. It also includes front and rear parking sensors.

The Touring and Black Edition trims add front and rear parking sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should be able to shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 160 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $50,862 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $50,968 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,769 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Odyssey has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower average price point than last year’s market. If you sell later, you may need to price competitively unless demand tightens.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey earns a “Poor” rating in a new IIHS evaluation.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Odyssey has Honda Sensing, a collection of driving-assistance systems. Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Touring and Black Edition trims add front and rear parking sensors.

Honda says the system generally operates smoothly and unobtrusively, though the lane-departure warning behaviour is less conventional than some rivals and the adaptive cruise control can react too aggressively in heavier traffic. The poor IIHS result is the main safety caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.77% compared with last year.
• The 2025 updates matter to you, including the new 7-inch digital driver display, the updated 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and the new rear-seat entertainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of the Odyssey’s familiar formula and can live with its outdated tech and missing hybrid/AWD options, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025’s softer pricing and updated equipment give it a clearer case than before.
