How much does the 2025 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 11.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 161 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare prices and equipment before you commit.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey a good car?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey earns an expert rating of 6.33/10. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It remains a comfortable, exceptionally practical, and enjoyable-to-drive family minivan, and the 2025 updates add useful touches like a new digital driver display, an updated touchscreen, USB-C charging, and an available smartphone charging pad. Even so, the overall package still feels dated in key areas, and the tech is described as only meeting minimum standards and expectations.

Trade-offs: the hybrid powertrain is unavailable, and the technology is still behind the class. It also lacks an all-wheel-drive option.

With 28.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you a reasonable chance of finding a worthwhile example if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey reliable?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey is presented as a familiar, proven family hauler rather than a risky redesign, and its core mechanical formula stays simple with a 3.5-litre V6 and front-wheel drive. Honda’s expert assessment also describes it as comfortable and enjoyable to drive, which supports the idea that the basic hardware remains well sorted.

The performance content points to a tried-and-true powertrain and a natural driving experience, which is usually a good sign for long-term ownership confidence. Honda also keeps the cabin controls straightforward, which can reduce day-to-day frustration compared with more complicated systems.

Honda does not offer a hybrid powertrain or all-wheel drive, so you are not getting the extra complexity that can sometimes come with those setups. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is that the Odyssey’s ageing technology and class-lagging value may matter more over time than the underlying mechanical package.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Odyssey?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: In Canada, the 2025 Odyssey comes in Sport, Sport-L, Touring, and Black Edition trim levels. The entry-level Sport is the most stripped-back version, while the Touring and Black Edition add front and rear parking sensors.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. There is no hybrid powertrain or all-wheel-drive option.
• Safety package: Every Odyssey has Honda Sensing, with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Touring and Black Edition trims add front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: The 2025 model adds a 9-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and USB-C charging ports. Wireless smartphone charging is offered on the top three grades.
• Fuel efficiency: According to Natural Resources Canada, it should use 10.6 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which 2025 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sport-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it is the value-focused choice if you want the Odyssey’s core space, comfort, and driving manners without paying for extras you may not need.
• Sport-L: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete family setup without jumping too far up the price ladder, since it builds on the base model with more equipment while staying within the same practical formula.
• Touring: This trim suits you if you want a more upscale family hauler, and it adds front and rear parking sensors along with the higher-end cabin and tech experience described in the test data.
• Black Edition: Choose this if you want the most expensive, most fully equipped Odyssey in the lineup, with the same added parking sensors and the top-spec positioning in the range.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find decent opportunities.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 161 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $50,604 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $50,604 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,265 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Odyssey has softened in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means you should expect more pressure on resale if the model continues to age without a major redesign.

The current range also shows that well-kept examples still command meaningful money, so condition and trim will matter when you eventually sell. If you buy carefully now, you may be able to limit some of that depreciation hit by starting from a lower entry point.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2025 Odyssey earns a “Poor” rating in a new IIHS evaluation, and Honda’s minivan also performs well in other safety testing.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Odyssey has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Touring and Black Edition trims add front and rear parking sensors.

The main caveat is that the new IIHS result is a weak point in an otherwise well-equipped safety package. If safety is a top priority, that poor rating is something you should weigh carefully against the Odyssey’s standard driver-assistance features.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.
• The 2025 updates matter to you, especially the new digital driver display, updated infotainment, and added charging convenience.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of this generation with the latest cabin updates, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may deliver similar practicality for less money, so it is worth comparing carefully before you buy.
