How much does the 2025 Honda HR-V cost?

Prices have softened 12.02% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 311 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda HR-V a good car?

The 2025 Honda HR-V stands out as a practical, easy-to-live-with crossover that leans more on versatility and refinement than outright performance. For you, that means a compact SUV that feels manageable in daily driving, with a good ride and the convenience of available all-wheel drive.

Its cabin and cargo flexibility are major selling points. You get 691 litres of cargo space in the trunk, or 1,559 litres with the rear seats folded, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across the range. Honda Sensing safety features are bundled in, including adaptive cruise control with a low-speed follow function, and 10 airbags are standard across the range.

The 2025 Honda HR-V remains appealing if you value practicality, standard safety equipment, and a well-rounded, refined driving experience over speed. With 33.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is also a decent amount of market value to work with.

Is the 2025 Honda HR-V reliable?

The 2025 Honda HR-V is presented as a practical, easy-to-live-with crossover with a higher-quality interior and improved handling. Its focus on refinement, standard safety equipment, and everyday usability should make it a sensible choice if you want a straightforward compact SUV.

The trade-off is that the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine makes 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque, and it is described as less powerful than some competitors and not particularly fuel efficient. For long-term ownership, that means your main risk is not complexity so much as living with modest performance and efficiency over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda HR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 311 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.02% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,108 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $32,108 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,496 CAD.

That price movement suggests the HR-V has softened in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale expectations should be more conservative than they were a year ago. If the market stays steady, well-kept examples should still hold appeal because the HR-V's practicality and standard equipment remain easy to market.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.02% compared with last year.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $36,236 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $32,108 CAD average.
• It adds a larger touchscreen with faster response times.

The bottom line: the 2025 is the better value if you want the stronger price position and more room to negotiate. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 should be your first stop; if you want the newer refresh and are willing to pay more, the 2026 is the alternative to compare.
