Is the 2025 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2025 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal is built around full-size SUV practicality, seating for up to nine passengers, and a premium-feeling cabin with modern technology. It also stands out for still offering V8 power, plus a turbodiesel option, in a segment where many rivals have moved to turbocharged V6 engines. Is the 2025 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Yukon’s strengths are tied to its spacious packaging, premium materials, and modern technology, but this generation has also had reliability concerns. That makes it important for you to pay close attention to service records, maintenance history, and any signs of heavy use before you buy. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a high-end, feature-rich full-size SUV can become expensive if prior maintenance has been inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 102 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $94,414 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $94,414 CAD sits slightly below last year's $118,864 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. The model’s premium positioning and broad appeal should continue to support demand, especially among shoppers looking for a large, well-equipped SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation with the latest interior and technology updates, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may offer a lower entry price while still giving you much of the Yukon’s space and capability.
