Is the 2025 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2025 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a full-size SUV with V8 power, a turbodiesel option, and seating for up to nine passengers depending on configuration, so it suits you well if you need serious family-hauling capacity with premium feel. Is the 2025 GMC Yukon reliable?

The 2025 Yukon’s appeal comes from its mix of space, premium materials, modern technology, and broad capability, but the generation’s reliability has not been especially strong so far. For used buyers, that means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, because long-term ownership risk may be higher than you’d expect from its upscale positioning.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Yukon?

It’s a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 100 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $95,780 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $95,780 CAD sits slightly below last year's $116,987 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside left than a buyer who paid closer to the previous year's average. Strong demand for a spacious, premium-feeling full-size SUV can also help support resale interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation with the latest interior and technology updates, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2025 makes the most sense when you value the updated cabin, strong utility, and current-market pricing.
