Is the 2025 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2025 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal if you want a full-size SUV with V8 power, a turbodiesel option, seating for up to nine passengers, and a premium-feeling cabin. The latest generation also adds a freshened interior, a new exterior design, a 16.8-inch infotainment screen with Google built in, and available features such as nine camera views and an eight-inch digital gauge cluster. If you need a large family haulier with serious utility and upscale presence, this model year fits that brief well. 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Yukon’s reliability picture is tempered by the fact that this generation has not been especially strong so far, even though it offers a polished cabin, modern technology, and broad capability. For used buyers, that means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, because long-term ownership risk may be higher than you’d want in a premium SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Yukon?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 99 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $95,889 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $95,919 CAD sits slightly below last year's $117,625 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside left than a shopper who paid closer to the model’s earlier highs. The Yukon’s premium positioning and broad appeal should help it remain relevant with family buyers and shoppers who want a large, well-equipped SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation with the updated interior, larger infotainment screen, and the Yukon’s full-size space and capability, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2025 makes the most sense when you value the latest packaging and are willing to pay for it.
