The Sierra 1500’s appeal comes from its breadth, with multiple engines, several transmission choices, and rear- or four-wheel drive availability. The current average of $63,735 CAD sits slightly below last year's $72,067 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can also affect what future sellers can expect. The Sierra’s upscale positioning and broad appeal should help support demand, especially for well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $54,287 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $63,735 CAD average.
• It offers broad versatility across work, off-road, and luxury use.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger current-market mix of pricing momentum, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2024 is the better value-focused alternative and still gives you the Sierra’s core versatility.
