Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Sierra 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,532 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.94% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500's resale value?

The current average of $65,409 CAD sits slightly below last year's $74,277 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively now but may also temper near-term resale gains. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your eventual return will depend heavily on trim, condition, and mileage. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,360 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $65,409 CAD average.
• It offers broad versatility with multiple powertrain options and a fuel-efficient diesel engine.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and a truck that still offers strong breadth, comfort, and capability. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the better value path and still gives you the Sierra’s core strengths.
