Used 2025 GMC Canyon for Sale near Sexsmith, AB

How much does the 2025 GMC Canyon cost?

Prices have softened 7.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 171 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 GMC Canyon a good car?

The 2025 GMC Canyon stands out as a midsize pickup that feels more upscale and more capable than many shoppers expect from its size. It is offered only as a four-door crew cab with a five-foot bed, and it combines a distinctive design with a generous standard equipment list and a strong turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder powertrain.

That makes it a good fit if you want a smaller truck that still brings serious performance, available off-road hardware, and a more premium cabin than many rivals. If you value a truck that is easier to manoeuvre than a full-size pickup but still feels substantial, the Canyon makes a strong case.

31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 GMC Canyon reliable?

The 2025 GMC Canyon is presented as a well-equipped midsize pickup with a strong standard powertrain and a broad range of capability-focused features. Its appeal comes from its combination of performance, premium feel, and off-road hardware rather than from any single standout reliability claim.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a more capable, more complex truck can bring higher repair exposure than a simpler vehicle if it has been worked hard or modified.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Canyon?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 171 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $53,956 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Canyon's resale value?

The current average of $53,956 CAD sits slightly below last year's $58,428 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment. If you buy at today’s average, your room for appreciation is limited unless market conditions improve. For a future seller, the current trend points to steadier value retention than a sharp rebound.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Canyon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.65% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $51,358 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $53,956 CAD average.
• It adds a tougher off-road package with more rugged hardware.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new paint colour and extra off-road package options.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best primary path if you want the current-year balance of price, inventory, and capability. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it undercuts the current average while still delivering strong off-road appeal.
