That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently today, but it also suggests future sellers may need to stay competitive on asking price. The Ranger’s modern cabin and broad feature set should help it remain appealing to shoppers who want a more contemporary midsize truck. Strong demand for well-equipped examples can support resale, especially if the truck has been maintained properly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Ranger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 21.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $47,575 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $53,127 CAD average.
• It offers more choice and capability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the more modern Ranger experience and are comfortable paying a premium for it. If your priority is value, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it delivers a lower entry price while still giving you a capable, well-equipped midsize truck.
