The 2025 Mustang’s overview points to a familiar, proven formula with multiple engine and transmission choices, which can be reassuring if you want a well-established sports car. At the same time, reported issues for the 2024 and 2025 model years include powertrain vibrations, inconsistent interior build quality, limited-slip differential problems, and electronic stability control concerns. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is worth checking carefully through a thorough inspection and service history review.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 244 listings available.

What is the 2025 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $46,878 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,716 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can put some pressure on future resale if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the Mustang’s strong name recognition and broad trim range help it stay visible with shoppers. If you buy well and keep mileage and condition in check, you should still have a reasonable path to resale demand later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,845 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $46,878 CAD average.
• It offers a strong mix of performance, handling, and value.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better starting point if you want the newer model-year pricing and a wider chance of finding a deal. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2024 is still worth a look for its strong performance and value proposition, but you will likely pay more for it.
