There are 768 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport a good car?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport earns an expert rating of 7.83/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.

It is designed primarily for drivers who want a small SUV with more adventurous intent than most rivals, but it still works as a good all-around crossover. The trade-offs are clear: excessive touchscreen controls and mediocre fuel economy.

With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a decent amount of value-oriented inventory to consider.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport reliable?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is built around the Ford Escape platform, and Ford’s 2025 updates add more off-road capability along with tech, styling, and interior changes. Its standard all-wheel drive and dual-clutch rear-drive unit are part of a setup aimed at traction and capability rather than simplicity.

The performance hardware is substantial for the class, including a torque-vectoring rear-drive unit, available Trail Control, and the new one-pedal feature for off-roading. Ford also backs it with a three-year/60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Bronco Sport’s capability-focused hardware and touchscreen-heavy controls may be more complex than you need if your driving is mostly urban commuting.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Bronco Sport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Bronco Sport’s styling stays rugged across the lineup, but the newly available off-road packages add modular steel front and rear bumpers, accessory mounting points, cast D-rings, a removable nudge bar, and underbody protection. Base trims do not get those extras, so you should check whether the truck you are considering has the equipment you want for trail use.
• Powertrain: Most trim levels use a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque, while Badlands models use a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 250 hp and 280 lb-ft. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is standard.
• Safety package: Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centring, and automatic high beams. Reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on Outer Banks and standard on Badlands.
• Infotainment: For 2025, the Bronco Sport gets Sync 4, a 13.2-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The larger screen and digital cluster are standard, and you should make sure the touchscreen-based controls suit you.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5-litre engine is rated at 8.7 L/100 km combined, while the 2.0-litre engine is rated at 10.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Ford Bronco Sport trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is offered in 4 trim levels: Big Bend, Heritage, Outer Banks, Badlands.

Here's the short version:

• Big Bend: This is the entry point and the best-value starting place if you want the Bronco Sport’s standard all-wheel drive, rugged styling, and core capability without paying for the more expensive off-road hardware. It is also the trim that can be paired with the Black Diamond Package.
• Heritage: Choose this if you want the design-focused version of the Bronco Sport. It is a distinct appearance-led trim that returns for 2025 and suits you if style matters as much as utility.
• Outer Banks: This is the more upscale choice in the middle of the range, and it is also one of the trims eligible for the Sasquatch Package. It makes sense if you want a nicer-feeling Bronco Sport with more available off-road hardware.
• Badlands: This is the most capable choice in the lineup, with the 2.0-litre engine, standard off-road-focused hardware, and the most advanced trail-oriented setup. It is the trim to buy if you want the strongest performance and the most serious off-road intent.

Reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on the Outer Banks and standard on the Badlands.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Bronco Sport?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price movement to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 768 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.74% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,616 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport's resale value?

The current average of $34,616 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,080 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers than sellers. If you own one and plan to sell later, you may not recover as much as earlier owners did unless demand strengthens.

For future sellers, the current pricing also means you should pay close attention to trim and equipment. Better-equipped versions with desirable off-road packages may hold appeal more effectively than a plain-spec example.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport safe?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport earns five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests, and a four-star rollover crash-test rating from NHTSA. It also earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford’s Co-Pilot360 safety kit includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centring, and automatic high beams. Reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on Outer Banks and standard on Badlands.

The IIHS results are mixed, with a Good score in the small overlap front test, a Marginal score in the updated moderate overlap front test, and an Acceptable rating in the updated side-impact test. That moderate-overlap result is the main caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.74% compared with last year.
• Ford’s 2025 updates add new option packages, tech, styling, and interior changes, while the expert verdict says the Bronco Sport was designed primarily with off-road enthusiasts in mind but is still a good all-around crossover.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Bronco Sport with the latest tech and off-road-focused updates, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are mainly shopping on price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2025’s softer pricing makes it a strong candidate for buyers who want capability and value in the same package.
