There are 856 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport a good car?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport earns an expert rating of 7.8/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.

It stands out as a compact crossover that blends the Ford Escape platform with the styling and off-road focus of its namesake, and it is aimed primarily at drivers who want a small SUV with more adventurous intent than most rivals. It also works as a practical all-around crossover, with great handling, standard all-wheel drive, and a stylish design.

The main trade-offs are excessive touchscreen controls and mediocre fuel economy.

With 32.7% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is still some room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport reliable?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is presented as a rugged small SUV with a competitive warranty package, and its standard all-wheel drive and off-road hardware support its durability-focused identity. Its powertrain and chassis setup are built for more than just commuting, which should help if you plan to use it for mixed city, highway, and trail duty.

Ford’s warranty coverage — a three-year/60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty — is competitive with other brands offering small, rugged crossovers.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that a more capability-focused SUV can bring more wear if it has been driven hard off-road or used with the available off-road packages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Bronco Sport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Bronco Sport’s styling is rugged and approachable, and the newly available off-road packages add modular steel front and rear bumpers, accessory mounting points, cast D-rings, a removable nudge bar, and underbody protection. Base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to which off-road and protection features are missing.
• Powertrain: Most trim levels use a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque, while Badlands models use a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard, and the system uses a dual-clutch rear-drive unit for torque vectoring.
• Safety package: Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centring, and automatic high beams. Reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on the Outer Banks and standard on the Badlands.
• Infotainment: You get a 13.2-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Ford Sync 4. The available 360-degree camera system is also useful both on-road and off-road.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5-litre turbo-three is rated at 8.7 L/100 km combined, while the 2.0-litre turbo-four is rated at 10.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Ford Bronco Sport trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is offered in 4 trim levels: Big Bend, Heritage, Outer Banks, and Badlands.

Here's the short version:

• Big Bend: This is the entry point, and it makes the Bronco Sport’s rugged design and standard all-wheel drive accessible at the lowest price. It is also the trim that can be paired with the Black Diamond Package, which adds meaningful off-road hardware.
• Heritage: This trim is the style-focused choice, returning for 2025 with a distinct design emphasis. It suits you if you want the Bronco Sport’s character without chasing the most off-road-focused hardware.
• Outer Banks: This is the best-value trim if you want a more upscale feel and the ability to add the Sasquatch Package. It gives you a strong mix of everyday comfort and extra capability.
• Badlands: This is the most capable choice, with the 2.0-litre turbo-four, standard off-road hardware, and the most serious trail-focused setup. It is the one to choose if off-road performance matters most.

Reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on the Outer Banks and standard on the Badlands.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Bronco Sport?

The market looks moderate, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 856 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.30% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,260 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport's resale value?

The current average of $33,260 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,708 CAD.

That price drop suggests the used market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make it easier to negotiate today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale values to depend heavily on trim, condition, and whether the vehicle has the desirable off-road packages. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport safe?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star frontal and side crash-test ratings and a four-star rollover crash-test rating. It also earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Bronco Sport’s standard Co-Pilot360 suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centring, and automatic high beams. Reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on the Outer Banks and standard on the Badlands.

IIHS gives it a Good score in the small overlap front test, a Marginal score in the updated moderate overlap front test, and an Acceptable rating in the updated side-impact test. The headlight rating is Good, but the Marginal moderate-overlap result is the main caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.30% compared with last year.
• Ford adds new option packages aimed at increasing off-road capability, along with tech, styling, and interior updates.

The bottom line: If you want the Bronco Sport at its most up-to-date, the 2025 model is the one to target because it adds meaningful equipment and benefits from a softer used-market price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025 gives you the clearest mix of updates and market value.
