Used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearSherwood Park, AB

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 10.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 195 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Style, technology, and utility are the main reasons to consider it, especially if you want a family-focused three-row SUV with a more upscale feel than its size might suggest. The Traverse also brings strong cargo space and a bold visual presence, which helps it stand out in a crowded segment.

The trade-offs are clear: the engine note is unpleasant, and the interior plastics feel cheap. It also misses the mark on value for money, so you should weigh the impressive tech and space against those rough edges.

Good and great deals account for 33.3% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Traverse’s reliability case is helped by its broad standard equipment list and the fact that Chevrolet has made the formerly optional Trailering Package standard for 2025. It also benefits from a strong technology package and a comprehensive set of driver aids, which can make day-to-day ownership feel easier and less stressful.

The performance side is less reassuring, though, because the engine note is described as unpleasant and the powertrain can send torque steer through the front wheels in FWD mode. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is more about refinement and usability than outright capability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The available trims in Canada are the LT, Z71, and RS. The base setup is less well equipped than the higher trims, while the Z71 adds the off-road-oriented hardware and the RS sits at the top of the range.
• Powertrain: The 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder makes strong power, but the engine note is unrefined and FWD mode can bring wheel spin and torque steer. AWD improves the driving experience.
• Safety package: Chevrolet Safety Assist covers adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat. The Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, OnStar connected services, and Wi-Fi hotspot access. An 11-inch digital instrument panel is also standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle is rated at 11.2 L/100 km in combined driving, and it averaged 10.9 L/100 km in testing.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the trim to focus on if you want the most straightforward path into the Traverse lineup. It gives you the core family-SUV formula without pushing you into the more specialised hardware of the higher trims.
• Z71: This is the best-value trim if you want the Traverse’s extra capability and rugged character. It adds the off-road suspension, all-terrain tyres, skid plate, red tow hooks, Twin Clutch AWD system, Terrain mode, and hill descent control.
• RS: Choose this if you want the most upscale, style-forward version of the Traverse and are willing to pay more for it.

The Z71 is the trim that best matches the Traverse’s added capability, but the safety package is strong across the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 195 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $51,247 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $51,247 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,097 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you buy now, you may be entering at a softer point in the pricing cycle, which can help limit near-term depreciation pressure. The Traverse’s strong technology and broad appeal should help support demand, but its value story is still shaped by how well it competes on price and condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse earns a Top Safety Pick award from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a standard Trailering Package and available Super Cruise.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,716 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $51,247 CAD average.
• It offers more space and a more distinctive redesign.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $55,738 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $51,247 CAD average.
• It emphasises a spacious interior and a comfortable ride.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best pick if you want the newest version with strong safety tech, standard trailering equipment, and a softer used-market price than last year. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense only if you want to spend more for a newer model-year alternative.
