Used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 8.12% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 189 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The 2025 Traverse is a strong fit if you want a stylish, family-friendly three-row SUV with plenty of cargo space and impressive technology. Chevrolet also made the formerly optional Trailering Package standard, which broadens its usefulness for towing and weekend hauling.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the engine note is unpleasant, and the interior plastics feel cheap. The fussy wiper controls and awkward third-row folding process can also make daily use less satisfying.

With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Traverse’s appeal is supported by its broad standard equipment list and its strong overall usability as a large three-row SUV. Its standard trailering capability and generous technology suite also point to a vehicle designed to handle family duties without feeling stripped down.

The powertrain’s rough-sounding character and the cabin’s lower-quality materials are the main durability-related concerns you should keep in mind when shopping used. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is that the same quality and usability frustrations that show up in testing may still bother you after the novelty wears off.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The available trims in Canada are LT, Z71, and RS. The base setup can leave you wanting more, while the Z71 adds off-road-oriented hardware and the RS sits at the top of the range.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It delivers strong acceleration, but the engine note is unrefined and front-wheel-drive operation can bring wheel spin and torque steer.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard, with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat. The Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, OnStar connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 11-inch digital instrument panel is also standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle was rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined and averaged 10.9 L/100 km in testing.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the trim to focus on if you want the Traverse’s core strengths without paying for the more specialised versions. It gives you the roomy cabin, strong standard technology, and broad family appeal at the most accessible entry point.
• Z71: This is the best fit if you want the extra capability and rugged character. It adds off-road suspension, all-terrain tyres, a skid plate, red tow hooks, a more capable Twin Clutch AWD system, Terrain mode, and hill descent control.
• RS: Choose this if you want the sportier-looking top trim and are willing to pay more for it.

Chevrolet’s standard safety package is generous across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get a strong baseline of driver aids.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 189 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.12% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $52,384 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $52,384 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,014 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command top dollar right now. If you plan to sell later, you may need to price competitively to stand out against the current inventory.

The good news is that the Traverse’s strong technology, broad family appeal, and solid owner satisfaction can help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2025 Traverse earns a Top Safety Pick award from IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevrolet equips every 2025 Traverse with a long list of standard driver aids through Chevy Safety Assist and related systems. Standard features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat.

The Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology, and it also brings the digital rearview mirror and a 10-speaker Bose premium sound system. Super Cruise is a standout hands-free driving aid, though it is not perfect in every situation.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Standard trailering capability broadens its usefulness for towing.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,804 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $52,384 CAD average.
• It introduced the redesign and added more standard driver aids.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It broadens appeal as a spacious three-row crossover with a pleasant ride.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, standard equipment, and broad family usefulness, the 2025 is the primary target. If your budget matters more than the latest updates, the 2024 is the value-minded alternative.
