There are 128 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV earns an 6.5/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Its strongest case is value: you get generous range, a comfortable ride, and a price that undercuts many EV rivals. The trade-offs are clear, though, with a weaker Technology score and the lack of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standing out most.

There are 29.7% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV’s expert assessment points to a well-rounded EV that focuses on everyday usability rather than flash. Its performance notes highlight smooth braking, confident road manners, and a cabin that stays quieter than a gas-powered SUV, though highway boominess can still be noticeable.

The dependability takeaway is that the core driving and charging experience appears straightforward and easy to live with. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a strong value proposition, with the entry-level LT positioned as the economical choice and no sense that you need to stretch for the RS just to avoid a stripped-down feel.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the hardware and more about whether the missing smartphone integration will bother you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the economical choice, while the RS adds larger wheels, blacked-out styling elements, red interior accents, and extra convenience and safety equipment. The base LT does not feel stripped out, so it is the best-value pick for most shoppers.
• Powertrain: You get a single 220-horsepower electric motor with front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive adds a second motor for 300 hp. The front-drive version is the efficiency-first choice, and the dual-motor setup is the one to consider if you want stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: All models include frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, a blind-spot monitor with steering intervention, automatic high beams, and GM’s safety alert seat. In Canada, Active Safety Package 2 is standard and adds a surround-view camera system, rear pedestrian alerts and automatic braking, side bicyclist alert, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, and intersection braking. Active Safety Package 3 adds semi-automated parking and Super Cruise.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in and quick responses. Wireless charging is available, but there is no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
• Range & charging: The front-drive version is estimated at up to 513 km of range, while AWD drops that estimate to 494 km with the standard charger or 463 km with the heavier charger. The battery is 85 kWh, and DC fast charging peaks at 150 kW.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, confirm how the car was typically charged, and review the remaining battery warranty coverage. Home charging is generally easier on the battery than frequent DC fast charging, so usage history matters.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV is offered in 2 trim levels: LT and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the best-value trim because it gives you the core Equinox EV experience without making you pay extra for the RS’s styling and convenience upgrades. It is the one to target if you want the strongest mix of price, range, and everyday usability.
• RS: Choose this if you want the sportier look, larger wheels, blacked-out styling elements, red interior accents, and the added convenience and safety equipment that come with it.

For safety, all models get the standard advanced driver-assistance suite, and Active Safety Package 2 is standard in Canada.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.63% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV's resale value?

The current average of $40,536 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,074 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in your favour if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may face more price pressure than owners did a year ago. If you plan to resell later, the strongest protection is buying well today so you have less depreciation to absorb. For you, that makes a clean, fairly priced example especially important.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.63% compared with last year.
• It offers strong value with generous range and a comfortable, easygoing driving character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,166 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $40,536 CAD average.
• It trades on the established Equinox nameplate to help ease the transition to battery-electric power.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger current-market value story and are comfortable paying a bit more for the newer model year. If your priority is simply the lowest purchase price, the 2024 is the better path.
