How much does the 2025 Audi SQ5 cost?

Prices have softened 13.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 53 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 earns a 7.17/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It is a compact luxury crossover SUV that aims to blend sporty performance with everyday usability, and the testing notes say it avoids the usual dynamic compromise that can come with a sport-tuned SUV. The main trade-offs are its poor fuel economy and lack of hands-free driving tech, while the driving experience is praised for being fun, comfortable, and impressively tech-forward.

Only 47.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still has some room for negotiation but not a flood of bargain inventory.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is presented as a well-equipped, mechanically upgraded performance SUV built on the redesigned Q5 platform, with standard quattro all-wheel drive and a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6. In testing, it felt sure-footed in wet conditions and remained composed when driven hard, which supports the case for solid everyday dependability.

Audi also includes a four-year trial for connected services, and the SQ5’s standard equipment list is generous for a luxury SUV. That said, the driver-assistance behaviour described in testing raises a real trust issue, especially the unprompted emergency braking and repeated steering-wheel warnings.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is not the powertrain so much as the possibility of living with frustrating or unpredictable driver-assistance behaviour.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SQ5 is offered in 2 trim levels: Progressiv and Technik. The Technik adds a passenger-side screen, Dynamic Interaction Lighting, and more appearance and ambience features, while the Progressiv gives you the core SQ5 experience without those extras.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, quattro all-wheel drive, and standard sport-tuned adaptive air suspension. The testing notes also point to strong grip, quick acceleration, and a firm but controlled ride.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Additional functions include Rear Turn Assist and Emergency Assist, but the SQ5 does not offer low-speed, hands-free traffic jam assist or hands-free driving tech.
• Infotainment: The Progressiv trim uses an 11.9-inch digital instrument display and a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, while the Technik adds a 10.9-inch passenger screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, Audi Assistant, SiriusXM, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen system are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The official fuel economy rating is 11.4 L/100 km combined, and testing returned 11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Audi SQ5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is offered in 2 trim levels: Progressiv and Technik.

Here's the short version:

• Progressiv: This is the better-value choice if you want the SQ5’s core performance, standard digital cockpit, large central touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and the full mechanical package without paying extra for the passenger display and lighting upgrades.
• Technik: Choose this if you want the most upscale SQ5 experience, including the passenger-side screen, Dynamic Interaction Lighting, and the richer cabin presentation that goes with the top trim.

The safety package is standard across the range, but the driver-assistance behaviour described in testing is worth evaluating carefully on any used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

It looks like a buyer-friendly time to shop, especially if you are comparing multiple listings and waiting for the right price.

• Deal availability: 47.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 53 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.11% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $70,692 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi SQ5's resale value?

The current average of $71,032 CAD sits slightly below last year's $81,752 CAD.

That price drop suggests the used market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more attractive entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect some depreciation pressure if you plan to move the vehicle on later. If you buy carefully and keep mileage and condition in check, you may be able to soften that hit, but the trend still favours buyers more than sellers right now.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 safe?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 does not yet have published IIHS or NHTSA ratings of its own, but the related 2025 Audi Q5 earned a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, while IIHS testing on that platform produced top Good ratings only in the small overlap front test and a mix of Acceptable and Marginal results elsewhere.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Audi also includes Rear Turn Assist and Emergency Assist in the MMI safety settings menu, and the steering wheel is supposed to offer hands-on detection.

The concern is that the SQ5’s driver-assistance system can behave unpredictably, including repeated steering-wheel warnings and an unprompted hard brake event. That kind of behaviour can undermine confidence even when the feature list looks strong on paper.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi SQ5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 47.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.11% compared with last year.
• The redesigned SQ5’s stronger mix of performance, practicality, and next-generation technology is what you want most.

The bottom line: If you want the newest SQ5 with the most up-to-date design and technology, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget, a different year may be worth considering, especially if you can find a cleaner example at a lower asking price.
