Is the 2024 Volkswagen Taos reliable?

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce concern about day-to-day ownership risk, though you should still evaluate maintenance history and condition carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Taos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 827 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.93% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,032 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Taos's resale value?

The current average of $25,054 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,802 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you're buying now but less favourable if you're planning to sell soon. If prices continue to stabilise, future resale values may be easier to predict than they were during the sharper decline. Strong current demand can still support the market, especially for well-priced examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Taos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $24,120 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $25,054 CAD average.
• It adds more standard safety features and equipment.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market mix of pricing momentum and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value-focused alternative.
