Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Jetta?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 427 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,274 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Jetta's resale value?

The current average of $24,281 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,310 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Jetta has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, that means your biggest advantage will likely come from purchasing near the lower end of the current range and keeping the car well maintained. A model with broad appeal and practical features can still attract steady interest when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,785 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $24,281 CAD average.
• It is a practical, affordable choice with a comfortable ride and strong handling.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $26,523 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $24,281 CAD average.
• It adds updated styling, a nicer interior, and more standard technology.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing and market availability, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer updates and can stretch your budget.
