Used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas for Sale nearWinnipeg, MB

How much does the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas cost?

Prices have softened 16.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 447 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas, and the expert rating is 7.33/10. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

The Atlas is built around space and practicality, with plenty of cargo room and a spacious third row that make it a strong fit for family duty. For 2024, it also gets a major refresh with updated styling and more standard features, so it feels more current without changing its core mission.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, the ride quality is poor, and the haptic controls can be troublesome.

With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Atlas is designed for everyday usefulness, and the 2024 update adds more standard equipment without changing its family-hauling focus. Its turbocharged four-cylinder engine is the only powertrain left for 2024, and it delivers more horsepower and torque than the previous turbo-four while using regular fuel.

Volkswagen also backs it with a four-year, 80,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a roomy, feature-rich SUV can still become costly if maintenance history is weak or neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Comfortline base model gets 18-inch alloy wheels, while Highline gets 20-inch wheels and Execline gets 21-inch wheels with slightly sportier styling elements. Peak Edition adds black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a different front fascia, silver body cladding, blacked-out exterior trim, and model-specific colours. The base model also misses some of the upscale touches found higher up the range, such as leather upholstery with contrast stitching and the head-up display on Execline.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. The Atlas no longer offers the V6, and the remaining engine is tuned more for smooth, everyday use than excitement.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: A 12-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster are standard, along with wireless phone charging and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Six USB-C ports are standard, and a head-up display is standard on Execline.
• Fuel efficiency: Base fuel economy is 12.2 L/100 km in the city, 9.2 on the highway, and 10.8 combined. Peak Edition models are rated at 12.6/9.4/11.2, while Highline and Execline are rated at 13.0/9.7/11.5.

Which 2024 Volkswagen Atlas trim should I buy?

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas is offered in 4 trim levels: Comfortline, Highline, Execline, Peak Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Comfortline: This is the value play if you want the Atlas’s core strengths without stretching your budget. It already brings a lot of standard equipment, including ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full driver-assistance suite.
• Highline: Choose this if you want a step up in comfort and appearance, including larger wheels and available leather upholstery with contrast stitching.
• Execline: This is the best-equipped choice if you want the most tech and convenience, including the head-up display, park assist, and surround-view camera system.
• Peak Edition: Pick this if you want the Atlas with a more outdoorsy look and all-terrain tyres, but it is still tuned mainly for pavement use.

Standard safety equipment is strong across the range, while Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 447 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,168 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas's resale value?

The current average of $42,168 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,752 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Atlas more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the Atlas is a practical three-row SUV with strong family appeal, well-kept examples should continue to draw interest. Higher trims and clean service records should help support value better than neglected or poorly equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas safe?

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side crash testing and four-star ratings in frontal and rollover tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.

One caveat is that IIHS ratings were not yet available for the 2024 model at the time of publication, though the structurally similar 2023 Atlas earned Good scores in most tests and Marginal in the updated moderate overlap front test.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 update adds more standard features and refreshed styling.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $47,264 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $42,168 CAD average.
• It carries forward the recent updates with only minor changes.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with fresh updates and strong standard equipment. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year with only minor changes, the 2025 is the simpler alternative.
