Used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas cost?

Prices have softened 16.89% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 400 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

It is a mid-size three-row SUV built for the North American market, and its biggest strengths are space and practicality. You get plenty of cargo room, a spacious third row, and a family-focused layout that suits buyers who want everyday usefulness over driving polish.

The trade-offs are clear: fairly pedestrian performance and troublesome haptic controls. Even so, the 2024 refresh adds more standard features and a more up-to-date feel, which helps it stay competitive in a crowded segment.

The market shows 29.5% of listings as good or great deals, which points to a reasonably favourable shopping environment.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Atlas is described as a practical, family-focused SUV with a straightforward mission, and the 2024 update adds more standard features without changing that core formula. Its turbocharged four-cylinder engine is the only powertrain for 2024, and it is paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive in Canada.

Volkswagen also includes a four-year, 80,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is that the Atlas still prioritises space and utility over refinement, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Comfortline gets 18-inch alloy wheels, while Highline moves to 20-inch wheels and Execline to 21-inch wheels with slightly sportier styling elements. Peak Edition adds black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a different front fascia, silver body cladding, blacked-out exterior trim, and model-specific colours. Leatherette seats are standard, leather upholstery with contrast stitching is available on Highline, and Execline adds diamond stitching.
• Powertrain: The 2024 Atlas uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It is tuned more for comfort and frugality than performance.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: A 12-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster are standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and six USB-C ports. A head-up display is standard on Execline.
• Fuel efficiency: Base fuel economy is 12.2 L/100 km in the city, 9.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.8 L/100 km combined. Peak Edition models are rated at 12.6/9.4/11.2 L/100 km, while Highline and Execline are rated at 13.0/9.7/11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Volkswagen Atlas trim should I buy?

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas is offered in 4 trim levels: Comfortline, Highline, Execline, Peak Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Comfortline: This is the value play if you want the Atlas’s core strengths without stretching the budget. It already brings a lot of standard equipment, including ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full suite of driver-assistance features.
• Highline: This trim adds a more upscale feel with 20-inch wheels and available leather upholstery with contrast stitching. It makes sense if you want a nicer cabin without jumping all the way to the top.
• Execline: This is the best-equipped choice if you want the most convenience and tech. It adds a head-up display, park assist, and a surround-view camera system, along with 21-inch wheels and more premium interior detailing.
• Peak Edition: Choose this if you want the Atlas with a more outdoorsy look. It adds black wheels, all-terrain tires, unique styling elements, and model-specific colours, but it is more about appearance than off-road capability.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, while Execline adds the most advanced parking and camera features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 400 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,755 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas's resale value?

The current average of $40,755 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,036 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more attractive entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice, since the model has already moved through a meaningful correction.

Because the Atlas still appeals to shoppers who want space and family usefulness, well-kept examples should continue to draw interest. Higher-spec trims with desirable equipment may hold attention better than lower-spec versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas safe?

The 2024 Atlas earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side crash testing and four-star ratings in frontal and rollover tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist for highway driving. Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.

IIHS ratings were not yet released for the 2024 model at the time of publication, though the structurally similar 2023 Atlas received a Good score in most crash tests and a Marginal result in the updated moderate overlap front test.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh adds more standard features, updated styling, and a more powerful turbo-four.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $45,530 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $40,755 CAD average.
• It keeps the same roomy, family-focused formula with only minor updates.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the stronger buy because it combines a lower average price with more standard equipment. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year and do not need major changes, the 2025 remains a sensible alternative.
