Used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas for Sale nearMontreal, QC

How much does the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas cost?

Prices have softened 17.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 425 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for you to compare trims and prices.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

It is aimed squarely at you if you want a family-friendly, mid-size three-row SUV with lots of space in a mainstream package. The 2024 refresh adds different styling and more standard features, and the remaining turbocharged four-cylinder brings more horsepower and torque than before.

The trade-offs are clear: fairly pedestrian performance and troublesome haptic controls. Even so, the Atlas still makes sense if your priority is a roomy, well-equipped family hauler rather than a polished driving experience.

35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Atlas is built around a practical, family-focused formula, and the 2024 update adds more standard equipment without changing that core mission. Its turbocharged four-cylinder is described as pulling strongly and smoothly, and the vehicle’s standard all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic give it a straightforward mechanical setup.

Volkswagen also includes a four-year, 80,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is whether the cabin’s convenience tech and controls still feel acceptable to you after some wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Comfortline gets 18-inch alloy wheels and the core refresh updates, while Highline adds 20-inch wheels and leather upholstery with contrast stitching. Execline brings 21-inch wheels, slightly sportier styling elements, a head-up display, and the most upscale presentation. Peak Edition adds black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a different front fascia, silver body cladding, blacked-out exterior trim, and model-specific colours.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It is tuned more for comfort and efficiency than excitement.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: A 12-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster are standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and six USB-C ports. A head-up display is standard on Execline, and higher trims get a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Base fuel economy is 12.2 L/100 km in the city, 9.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.8 L/100 km combined. Peak Edition is rated at 12.6/9.4/11.2 L/100 km, while Highline and Execline are rated at 13.0/9.7/11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Volkswagen Atlas trim should I buy?

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas is offered in 4 trim levels: Comfortline, Highline, Execline, Peak Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Comfortline: This is the value play if you want the refreshed Atlas with the core equipment you actually need, including the standard safety suite, wireless smartphone integration, and the new 12-inch touchscreen. It is the best fit if you want the lowest entry point without giving up the big updates for 2024.
• Highline: This trim adds leather upholstery with contrast stitching and 20-inch wheels, making it a sensible step up if you want a more upscale cabin without going all the way to the top. It is the trim that best balances added comfort and price.
• Execline: This is the most fully equipped choice, with 21-inch wheels, a head-up display, park assist, and a surround-view camera system. Choose it if you want the most convenience and the most premium feel.
• Peak Edition: This is the one to choose if you like the outdoorsy look, all-terrain tyres, and unique styling details. It is more about appearance and character than serious off-road ability.

Standard safety equipment is broad across the lineup, while Execline adds the most advanced parking and camera features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 425 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.08% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,299 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas's resale value?

The current average of $41,299 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,803 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to last year’s higher level. The Atlas’s strong space and family-friendly appeal should still support demand, especially among shoppers who value room over refinement.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas safe?

The 2024 Atlas earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side crash testing and four-star ratings in frontal and rollover tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist for highway driving. Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.

IIHS had not released ratings for the 2024 model at the time of publication, but the structurally similar 2023 model received a Good score in all crash tests except the updated moderate overlap front test, where it was rated Marginal.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh adds different styling, more standard features, and a stronger turbo-four.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $46,158 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $41,299 CAD average.
• It brings only minor updates after the 2024 changes.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with the major refresh. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 also gives you the strongest mix of space, standard equipment, and market availability. Move to the 2025 only if you specifically want the newer model year and are comfortable paying more for relatively small changes.
