The current average of $47,670 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,717 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. The Model Y's strong packaging, standard equipment, and EV range help support demand, especially among shoppers looking for a practical electric crossover. If the market stays balanced, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than less versatile EVs.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 24.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 Model Y makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped electric crossover with strong practicality and you value current-year pricing that has eased from last year. If you're especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is the better fit when you want the newer package and can take advantage of the softer market.
